Oh, yeah, that woulda worked really great. Now I resent the converter for it. XD

Yep, that's right, really. ^^ Since this Twig's gonna be up until Forumotion deletes it themselves, they'll hopefully always be available, too.

Well, it's not like I haven't known about this for a long time. ^^

But still, what a lovely announcement. :3

So some threads/section will be open while we're converting? Or will like the whole site be down?
(Sorry, I don't really know anything related to this topic, but I think I understand. )

Only some sections will be open.

I'm just scared to find out something like this:

I wake up, go on the internet, and all of a sudden it says this website no longer exsists and then I don't know the URL or anything!

That's the only thing I'm scared of with the conversion.

They'll leave the site up for as long as they can. :3

Well, then, don't worry. :3 This website is always gonna stay up (as forumotion) and once the conversion's been completed the new URL will be posted for everyone to see.

Ah, ok. I'm excited to be able to have a shorter URL!

I'm considering leaving the whole of Cup o Joe open, or even the whole site if enough people literally demand it, but at this point, we're only planning on leaving one section open to posting: the WCTs. (And PMs, VMs, and the chatbox will be available as well.)

'Cause I sent WCL a PM. She logged on this morning, but her iPod was dying. So she didn't get to see the message yet about the conversion.
And Hyro didn't log on in time to know.

Mia - you don't have to worry. They'll get PMs with their new passwords, just like everyone else. This site will stay up. There will just be an announcement saying, "we have moved here" and a link. They're not going to miss it.

We can't just get them from here, so everyone will have a random number PM'ed to them - they can log in with that and then change their password.

But then I switched computers and it was all better.

I think Shadow will be setting things up for the conversion sometime this evening.

Ok, so I'll be needing to do a blog post with all of the smileys one last time. Then I won't use anymore smileys till the conversions done.

Yeah, like Ari said, there's nothing to worry about. ^^ I'll put the link all over the place - in this section, in a message right below the navigation bar, in a new widget on the portal, in that section right above the forum . . . nobody will miss it, I promise.

Central time is one hour behind eastern. ^^
