Re: The Band Geeks Club
Those are quads. They hurt my shoulders WAY more than the marching snares. The marching snares are light to me now! Last year, they were soo heavy! My left shoulder is probably permanently hurt by these things (the quads). But, they're fun to play, I have to admit.
Oh and Ryan emailed me and he said that he was going to play with us for the first game!!!! I GET TO SEE HIM AGAIN!!! YAAY!!!
Re: The Band Geeks Club
Trombone in band. And I have private violin lessons.

Ah, the quads make wimpy noises compared to snares.

No, Snare are like a machine gun, but the quads sound silly.

I love snares. I've never heard the quads, though.

Meh. Snares are way lighter though

You would suppose, as the quads are four drums hanging on you shoulders, ouch!

You get used to it, though it still hurts DX And it's so weird because my band director assigned the quads to the two SHORTEST percussionists....wait did I already say that? I'm not sure.
Re: The Band Geeks Club
I don't think I'm good at my instrument. Either that or the band director hates me.

I think you did already.
There are just some obstacles in life you can't avoid, you have to see every day, and you just hate. You just have to deal with it, or hide under your blankets all day, but only a dummy would hide. Are you a dummy?

Nice, Gri. xD
But I'm sure you're not that bad, Saddle. Maybe the director just thinks you are, though - Gah . . . um . . . xD Okay, I'm gonna shut up now.

Re: The Band Geeks Club
I was thinking of quitting band this year, but my friend convinced me to stay in it. There's awards for 8th graders at the end of the year from the music department: one for someone in band, one for someone in choir, and one for someone in both. I'm not good enough for the choir one (I think my friend is gonna get that), I probably won't get the band one, but there's only two people in my grade in choir AND band: me and a guy named Ryan. I think he's gonna get it, but my friend told me to stay in band cuz there's still a 50/50 chance I'll get that. Plus, I've been in choir more than Ryan so she thinks that'll get me bonus points with the choir director.

Lol that reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Did you intend to do that?
No, I'm not a dummy xD

I'm so nervous. It's in a few months, but I have to do this solo thing and I have a feeling I'm going to do bad and it's for this elite band that isn't even part of school and I won't know anyone... I should take this to the venting club.

Re: The Band Geeks Club
Eh...
I just dropped outta band this year. It'll be too stressful... :/
I loved band when I was in it, though. It was so fun.
Now I don't see the point, though... I basically liked band 'cause I got to chill with my band friends, but now I'm in high school with them. I'll miss the music, though.
Besides... I can like... Hang out with Matt and get to know peeps while my friends are at band. If Matt's not there, I can hang out with Mallory, Binky or Landon.
I'll miss it, though. But I don't regret dropping it... Ya gotta move on sometime.

Lol, I'm an orchestra and choir geek. I play the violin, quite badly at that, but I still play it, and I'm in our school choir. Oh, this'll amuse all you stringed instrument players, and anybody really... In orchestra, we're playing a song called,"The Curse Of The Rosin Eating Zombies From Outer Space" It's the most hilarious thing I've ever heard!
