I crawled from Sam's arms and into the girl's. "Bad dream." I sobbed.

"Shhh." I murmured, stroking the girl hair and sneezing. Gosh, I did not feel well at all. Fang sighed, walking over and wrapping his wing around me again. Inwardly, I rolled my eyes.

I wrapped my arms loosely around her neck, crying inot her hair. I winced when she sneezed on me, but I didn't really care.

"Shhh." I murmured again, rubbing her back. Gazzy came and sat on my knee, and suddenly, Angel was awake too, sitting on the other side of Gazzy. And then we were all awake, Nudge in front, Fang next to me, his black wings warming me slowly, and Iggy on the other side.

Amanda smiled at me, her face bright and happy and... loose, almost. Free. I gave her a rare smile of my own, and her face was suddenly the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. The way her hair framed her face... the color as the moonlight hit the gentle wave...

Amanda kissed the little one's hair gently. "Okay, my flock... back to bed. Um.. Sam, it's my watch, but Fang is gonig to force me into sleep, and he is not the most fatherly person ever, so, if you want to take Kara...." She smiled lightly.

The rest of the flock started walking back to where-ever they had been before the commotion, and Amanda leaned down and kissed Kara gently on the forehead. She looked at me for a second, smiling and happy, before turning to go back to sleep. She needed it.

Amanda smiled again. "Fang? What happened?" She asked quietly, folding her legs under herself. "Just the usual; fever, coughing, ect. Sleep." I said, lying a hand on her forehead to make sure it wouldn't come back.

"You don't have to do this, you know." Amanda muttered. "Yes, I do." I replied, stroking her hair. She shuddered uncomfortably, and I bit my lip. "Sorry."

Amanda sighed, picking up the child. "There's nothing to be frightened up, sweetie. The scariest thing in this cave is Fang."

"They can't find us here." Amanda said, her voice filled with patience and understanding. That she was trying hard to put on. She had a high fever, she was cold, and was pretty much miserable, and yet she could still comfort a three year old. Something I was never able to do.
Amanda kissed the girl's forehead once more, and lied her in Samantha's lap. She looked at me, her eyes filled with... tears? "I don't feel good at all, Fang." She whispered. "I know."

Amanda's head drooped, and I sighed inwardly. She was so misreable, so cold, so... sick. I wrapped my wings around her again.
