Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----Cody nodded, offering them a grin of his own. "Nice to meet you . . . how old're ya both?" He was aware it was a random question, but he was curious.
-----"Are you okay?" Shadow whispered to Jake, as if the Visser wouldn't be able to hear. She shot a glance down at the Andalite; it was odd, how they were so strange, yet she didn't even feel like they were - she was so used to seeing them on the book's covers that they seemed just normal.
-----The Visser gave the female Andalite a fierce glare. She was ruining everything.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
"Nineteen, that goes for both of us," Liz answered. "Mischief is six and Renwar is five." Jonathan said.
Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
[J] <Fine,> I replied in private thought-speak. I watched as Marco wriggled out from behind the dumpster in his gorilla morph; we were all in our battle morphs except for Cassie, who crawled into the cramped space that Marco had just vacated. I pinned the Visser down slightly more forcefully, waiting for her to finish.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----Cody nodded, glancing thoughtfully at the two dogs(? or kids . . . xD) chasing butterflies. "I'm sixteen," he said, chuckling sheepishly as he looked back at the young adults. They were so lucky . . . he couldn't wait until he was an adult.
-----Shadow nodded, and focused her attention on Visser Three again. They were lucky the Yeerks controlling the Hork-Bajirs were smart enough not to attack . . . but would it stay that way for long? She doubted they'd just stand around and let themselves get torn to pieces as they attacked them, either.
-----Turning his glare on Jake, the Visser said in a commanding tone, <Release me!>

*(Two cats. :3) Liz nodded, then leaned against Jonathan's shoulder.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
((xD Okay. Sorry!))
-----Cody didn't fail to notice this subtle display of affection. Pain instantly flashed through his eyes; it reminded him of Kayla.
-----Where was she, he wondered? Probably still at home . . . alone and freaking out, because he wasn't there. He knew for a fact that she was freaking out, in fact; it was one of his powers, to always sense her own emotions as his. Though she didn't have any way to know herself, he was just as unhappy with being alone as she was . . . though he tried to keep that buried inside him. No amount of the anxiety would change anything; he could never get back home, and he'd just have to find some way to live without her.
-----His eyes narrowed. He could call it off until he was safe, and then have the Hork-Bajir attack . . . or he could refuse. Though it took a serious amount of dignity loss to even act like he was admitting defeat, the Visser called out, <Nobody attacks.>
-----Shadow's eyes narrowed as well. Was he really just giving up like that?[/color]

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
Liz looked at Cody. "Something wrong?" Mischief was playing with his pant leg, meowing.
Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
[J] <Tobias, fly cover,> I ordered. <Shadow, you can run fast, right?>

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----The sudden reminder of the world around him startled Cody a little bit. Quickly clearing the pained expression from his face, he said, "Oh. Yeah, I'm fine. Just fine . . ." Not.
-----Shadow nodded a little bit.
-----<Well?> the Visser asked impatiently. <Uphold your end of the bargain.>

[J] <As soon as we're free, Visser.> I switched to private thought-speak, broadcasting it to my friends only. <Cassie, Marco, Rachel, Ax, and Annie, get out. Shadow, you hold down the Visser until we're clear. Then run.>

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----"Are you guys together?" Cody mumbled, trying to distract himself from thoughts of Kayla. Though, asking about romance probably wasn't the best way to do it.
-----Shadow nodded again, a slight smile coming onto her face. She could definitely do that, and she'd do it well.
-----Now the Visser was becoming just plain annoyed. What were they saying to each other? If only he could hear them. It didn't look like anyone was doing anything at the moment; it was torture, just watching them do nothing and being unable to carry out his plan.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
[J] I watched the others file past the Hork-Bajir, Ax's stalk eyes swiveling around to carefully watch the Yeerk-infested aliens when their backs were turned, just in case. I shifted, allowing Shadow access to the Visser.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----Shadow firmly pressed the Visser to the ground, her eyes darting everywhere. First to the Animorphs, then down to the Visser, then to the Hork-Bajir who were watching the escaping Animorphs with distasteful expression, then back down to the Visser . . . he wasn't even struggling, which she supposed was good. Though she did pity him now.
Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
[J] I backed away from Shadow and the Visser, then turned to face the Hork-Bajir as I pushed through them. I followed the others away.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----<Well?> the Visser asked pointedly.
-----"Just a moment." Shadow slowly began counting to ten in her head, wanting to make sure the Animorphs got away, though it was really boring to wait - even just for ten seconds. Finally, the moment she'd finished, she got off the Visser and darted away as fast as she could, following Jake's scent.
-----The Visser hurriedly got to his feet. <Now we attack them! Go and find them, and kill them all. And don't even think about coming back until you're done,> he ordered.
-----The Hork-Bajir raced off obediently, aggression taking them over again.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
[J] The others were already a block and a half away. I raced after them, demorphing as I ran.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
Shadow spat out a nasty word when she heard the Visser. Treacherous leech. I should've known he wouldn't just let us go. Quickly catching up to Jake, she said, "The Visser lied!"
Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
[J] I was slowing, a twisted mess of fur and skin and paws and hands. "Tell the others to demorph and remorph to bird," I said through a half-formed mouth, hoping she'd understand me.

Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
-----She nodded, and surged ahead.
-----"Guys!" she called when she reached them. "The Visser was lying. Jake wants you all to morph into birds, and hurry, before the Hork-Bajir catch up to us."

"Yeah." Liz nodded.
Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
[R] <Got it,> I said, starting to demorph. Around me, the others were doing the same. Ax was already morphing to harrier.
[J] I finished my demorph and immediately began going to falcon, still running.

"Yeah." Liz nodded.
-----Again, the look of pain went through his expression, as Cody nodded. Lucky them. They probably don't even know what it's like to be alone like this. "How long?" Still, he was grasping at the intangible hope that maybe this could take his mind off Kayla, though his hope was getting less sane with every word from his mouth.

-----Shadow waited until the others had all begun morphing before turning into a bald eagle and zooming back to check on Jake. She flew above him as he morphed, hoping that he'd be able to recognize her by her golden eyes, and keeping her senses alert for any of the Hork-Bajir. They were probably only a block back at this point.
Re: The Voices in My Head: Part III
"Err, about a year now." Liz looked at him, cocking er head in curiosity,
