The Twilight Saga; Chapter 3; Something Is Stirring

I snarled and pulled Amanda behind me. "Showing up just a coincidence, Alec? You looking for a fight?"

"Uh...yeah." I laughed shortly. "Mind readers."

Cassandra got up, facing the two. Now is when her temper flared. She also looked slightly angry, and she was, truth be told. "He's not here for a fight." She said, her voice cracking slightly because of how much her little body was shivering. Of course a little thing--now human-- such as herself, wouldn't stand a single chance against Jasper.

"Not mind readers." Spoke Adele with a laugh, and a shake of her head. "Follow me. Abriele-- set up the stands, will ya?" And she began to walk up the stairs, at a pace that Amanda could follow, of course.

"Jasper, calm down." I whispered, stroking his cheek. "I'm sorry. He's very overprotective." I sighed and lied my hand on his. "Calm."
I pulled off my jacket and wrapped Casandra in it, pulling her closer. "Are you looking for a fight, Jasper Hale?"
"No, he's not." I replied quickly before Jasper could.

I followed Adele, smiling. This would be... interesting, if nothing else. (XD)

Cassandra calmed slightly, feeling warmer again, despite the fact that she was still partly wet from the little water ride she and Aurelia experienced. she nodded once at Amanda, what looked to be a very weak smile coming over her face. She kept her hand behind her back, though, for her finger still had that very slight cut on it. she knew that alec was still having trouble with hunting humans.

Adele led her up to her room, and opened the closet. "Pick one," She told her, gesturing to the small section of dresses.

"Jasper!" I cried as he rushed forward. "No, Jasper!" He was around Cassandra now, trying to get to her finger. "NO!"

(I thought you might wanna play Alec here. xD)

A a few hit and miss dresses, I was in a long red gown that fell to my ankles with mid length sleeves. I turned around once and smiled. "Almost perfect." I slid my Cross necklace to the center of my neck, and it was done. "And now it's perfect." My high heels were already on, held with silk ties. "How does it look?"

[No, I wanna see what you're gonna do. xD]

And it was Aurelia who stopped Jasper almost just in time. She appeared in front of him, placing a hand on his forehead and tilting his head back, forcing him backwards and into a nearby tree. "Bloodlust." she whispered, glancing at Alec. "The horrid thing most vampires must endure."

Adele smiled, "You look lovely." She complimented with a grin.

"Come here, Jasper!" I didn't want him and Alec to start fighting. "Sweetie, sweetie, listen. You're fine. It's not a big deal. Baby, baby..." I whispered, wrapping my arms around his neck. He snarled. "Shhh. Shhhhhh." My finger touched his lips. "Shhh."
I stood in front of Cassandra, just in case Amanda's technique didn't work.

"Thank you. Really." I smiled. "And now... the actual dance." I took a deep breath and began walking outside the room. One step, another step. One step, another step. And then I saw Leach.

Cassandra's eyes widened faintly, and she gently touched Alec's shoulder, getting a small stain of blood from her finger on his shirt. "Alec..." She was afraid; some for herself, but mostly for him. She didn't want him to be harmed.

Jasper hissed quietly, his eyes locked on the two dangerously. He exhaled slowly, trying to calm himself. "I think we should go." he whispered.

Leach was somewhere near the far corner, talking silently with Jodi. He kissed her forehead, and then glanced over at Amanda, cracking a small smile.

Jasper averted his eyes from the two. Certainly Alec wasn't a threat; he seemed perfectly in love with the girl that he almost killed right now. He nodded slowly, "Just about." He replied.

Cassandra eyed the stain she had just created from her blood on Alec's shirt, "Alec?" She asked quietly.

[I'll reply to the other half in a sec!]

(*iz bored of waiting so replies to first one* xD)

"Alright. I'm ready when you are." I lied my hand gently in his shoulder and looked back. "Sorry.: I mouthed one last time.
"Yes, Cassandra?"

Jodi tilted her head at Amanda, "Thank you." She replied with a small smile. At the unfinished sentence, she asked, "Ask who?"

Jasper picked up Amanda, and ran off.

Cassandra shivered, pulling his jacket tighter around herself. But by now, it wasn't helping. "Could we go back?" She whispered, her eyelids already beginning to droop.

"Jasper." I muttered, inaudible. "When does the dance start?" I asked, trying to get myself back in "the mood". I think I overexaggerated a bit to much.

"Sure thing, sweetheart." I brushed her lips and lifted her effortlessly into my arms. "Sleep."

(They need to meet again. )

"In a few minute's time, I'm guessing." Replied Leach with a light shrug. "Are you sure you don't want to wait and see if Jasper will come back?" He asked.

Cassandra nodded, resting her head against his chest and quickly falling asleep in his arms.

[Yes, they should. For now, fastforward a few hours?]

"I don't think he's coming for a while." I whispered quietly. "When he loses control, it takes a while."

I walked slowly back in the forest, trying to find the group from earlier. I ran into the quicker than I expected. That may have been due to the fact that Jasper carried me the entire way.

Leach nodded understandingly, "Ah, I understand." He finally said, glancing back at Jodi, and then back at Amanda. The twins stepped up to their violin stands, and began to play. "As a brother and sister, shall we dance?'

[Prooobably not still bleeding, but I'd imagine them being at the house since Cassandra's a human and she's probably freezing to death because she was just pulled out of a river. xD]
[Also, me has another quick evil idea. xD]

Cassandra was upstairs, in a room that she shared with Gwen, fast asleep. She was completely dry, and her blonde hair was picked up in a loose ponytail, with part of her bangs in front of one of her eyes. She was wearing a pair of Adele's 'make-believe' pajamas. [She calls them make-believe pajamas because she never uses them, hence the fact that she cannot sleep]

Sally was in the room upstairs, tending to Aurelia.

Hayden was... somewhere. xD

[Merry Christmassssss! *falls down stairs* xD]

"Yes." I answered shortly, smiling. "As your sister, may I have this dance?" My voice sounded weak and crackly as a human, but I didn't really care right now.
(Waitz.. iz I dancing with just Leach, or Tobay and Hayden as well? 'Cause that'd be... interesting. xD)

"Cassandra?" I knocked on her door gently. "Are you okay?" I walked into the room, making sure neither Alec nor Jasper were there.

[To-bi-as and Cowgirl are dancing with other peeps. xD]

Leach nodded, a kind smile on his face, and he took her out onto the dance floor. Toby was dancing with Gwen, and Hayden was dancing with Leslie.
Jodi appeared sitting in front of the piano beside Adele and Abriele, and joined in by playing a lovely tune.

Cassandra's eyes snapped open automatically, and she sat up quickly, her eyes slightly wide. Seeing that it was only Amanda, she sighed quietly in relief. She nodded, a weak smile on her face. "Yes, I'm fine." She replied. She felt it only fair to ask Amanda the same question in return, "Are you okay, too?"

I smiled, actually enjoying myself. Leach was fun to be around; Jasper was amazing and all, but he would obsessively ask if I was okay. Leach just let it go. It was... nice.

I shut the door quietly. "I think." I muttered. "I've been sick while you were gone... I missed you." I coughed lightly into my elbow and continued. "It's nice knowing there's finally another human around."

Leach glanced up at the stage every now and again, and finally, he stepped away from Amanda, inclining his head again to the stage. "Get ready." He said with a grin, chuckling a little. His grin faded slightly when he glanced at Jodi, seeing her nose scrunch up and her fingers freeze on the keys.

Cassandra smiled weakly, scooting over slightly, giving Amanda some room on the bed. "I missed you, too." She admitted with a weak smile. She nodded, "I forgot what being a human was like a long time ago."

"Get ready for what?" I asked, and realized the music fro the piano had stopped. "Um... was that supposed to happen?"

I sat down next to her. "Jasper's still overprotective, if you were wondering." I sighed dramatically. "He's hunting now, though."

Leach made no reply, he just kept his eyes locked on Jodi-- and so did everybody else, for the matter. Finally, Jodi just fell into a heap, writhing and screaming. It was just how it had started before.

Cassandra giggled quietly. "Now I know how you feel with Jasper," She told her, a light blush coming over her face. But she loved Alec dearly, he could probably tell now by the way her heart would skip a beat whenever she saw him.

I tried to run up and help her. "Jodi? Jodi, what's wrong?" I screamed, tears running down my cheeks.

"No. I mean, seriously, he's almost to protective." I coughed lightly again. "He'd force me on the couch for a day for that."
