The Twilight Saga; Chapter 3; Something Is Stirring

Chloe stuck her hands in the pockets of her hoodie, shrugging a little. She had a light blush on her cheeks, and a small smile on her face. She nodded quickly, standing up.
"Um... yeah, I guess. If you heard anything from me other than 'blah blah blah' and some other random stuff..."

Cassandra was wandering around through the underground hallways of Volterra, having nothing to do. She stopped, sensing someone following her. She turned around, faced with the familiar, pondering face of Maryann.
She gasped slightly, stepping back. "Leave." She whispered threateningly, preparing herself in case she was to be attacked by the unwelcome one.

"Ah, little Cassandra. Just the face that I wanted to see." Maryann laughed, stepping forward, causing Cassandra to step back. "How's the undead be treating you? I still see that your eyes are blue." She titled her head, appearing in front of Cassandra once more, tapping the tip of her nose lightly. Cassandra stepped back again. "Have you been a naughty little one? Disobeying Aro's orders?" She sang the last question, her voice haunting.

"My choices are none of your business." She replied, and then asked her own questions. "What are you doing here? What do you want with me?" She kept her face blank and unreadable.

"What do I want with you?" Maryann repeated, a sly smile on her face. "All I want is for you to be happy; I only want what's best for you." She held her arms out, but Cassandra shook her head. "Do you feel loved here?" She asked, her expression the same, despite Cassandra's refusal to fall for her mind games.

The younger one didn't make a reply, she just stood there with her hands folded in front of her, staring past Maryann and down into the hallway.

"I'm sure you feel loved by that red-eyed boy Alec." Said Maryann with clear sarcasm, rolling her eyes. "I say, if someone really loved me, they'd respect me for my choices." She commented with a slight shrug. "But that's just me."

"Leave." Cassandra repeated, feeling as if her heart was breaking again.

"I'll leave, but not without leaving you one final question." Suddenly, Maryann appeared in front of her, "Would he love you if you were human?" And then, she disappeared, leaving Cassandra alone to the dimness of the halls.

"Cassandra?" I wandered down the hallways and finally found her. "Cassandra! What happened?"

[I'll make him run into a wall, just for you. xDD]

Cassandra was still staring ahead of her, a slightly alarmed and almost frightened look on her face. It was the same look that she had just before she was killed; suspicious, but also scared. "M-M-Maryann." She finally managed to stutter, her eyes large.

"I'm right here." I whispered.

(Let's do 3 RP's at once!! )

Cassandra nodded slowly, wrapping her arms around him and resting her head against his chest calmly. She closed her eyes again, and she told him, "Maryann said something that scared me."

"It was more as a question," Cassandra whispered, hiding her face so not to see his reaction to what she was just about to repeat. "She told me, 'I'll leave, but not without leaving you one final question Would he love you if you were human?' And then she disappeared." She whispered, holding him tighter still, beginning to shiver.

Jasper drifted over to her, seating himself beside her. He watched her intently, affectionately. "Yes Amanda?" He asked, stroking her hair-- the parts that Hailey wasn't so curiously observing, anyways.

Jasper sighed, glancing up the stairs, "I don't know. Leach said she would be alright; but I don't blame you for worrying." He said, gently wrapping his arms around her.

"Cassandra, I love you. Nothing can ever change that. I loved you when you were human, you know."

"Wh-what were you s-saying earlier? Ab-bout leaving?" I asked quietly, shifting Hailey to the other arm, closer to Jasper.

I pressed my face into his chest. "Can you do anything?" I wanted her to be okay. "Does...does this mean that other guy is closer to... taking me?"


(You be a good Jasper. You learned my ways well. xD)

[xD that's 'cause i'm in a broody mood. xP meh doggeh ate my headphones and peed on my shoe. -.-]

[And you make a darn good Alec. xD]

Cassandra calmed, her body slowly stopping to tremble. She relaxed, looking up at him when he mentioned the last part. Hearing this made her smile, and she wished she would have remembered times when she was human. "You did?" She asked quietly.

Hailey switched examining Amanda's hair, and went to tug on Jasper's blonde locks, cooing every now and then.

Jasper chuckled at the little one, tilting his head down a little so she wouldn't end up pulling his hair out. He was keeping his attention on Amanda, all the while. Although his throat burned slightly, his eyes were the same calm honey gold, and he appeared to not be in too much pain. "I'll only leave if things get too out of hand, but I promise I'll stay until then, alright?" He asked, brushing a few strands of hair from her face.

Jasper sighed guiltily, truly wishing that he could help in some way. "He won't be taking you, they've assured that." He whispered reassuringly, stroking the side of her face. "The best I can do is calm her down if she gets to Jodi's condition."

"Yes, Cassandra, I did. Remember that 'beautiful' boy when you were two?"

"If you need to go, you can Jasper. I can handle Hailey for a while." I shivered at his touch. "She's not that difficult." I lied my head against his chest and shivered. I had a feeling he would object, but I didn't care right now. I just wanted him to be happy.

"B...but that won't happen? Right?" I asked, fear filling my face. "Jasper? It's not going to happen, right?" I kissed his neck gently, but I was truly scared out of my wits, and he could feel it.

Cassandra covered her mouth with her hand, giggling out of a new shyness that had overcome her. She hid her face into his chest, out embarrassment. "I thought I was dreaming by then. Or dead. " She whispered, a shy tone to her voice. She remembered; very faintly, but she did.

Jasper shook his head, having some difficulty because Hailey was still examining the color of his hair. She had done that with everyone that day; although she had some trouble with Emmett's, it being so short. "I'm only happy when I'm with you." He replied, not wanting to leave her.

Jasper stroked her hair, soothing her. "She's going to be perfectly fine; she's a little fighter, as you may already know. Listen, you can hear her yapping about how she shouldn't have let her guard down." He said, quieting so that Amanda could hear Amaya's angry tone as Sally tended to her; she would say how she shouldn't have let her guard down, burst out some random curses in Japanese, and then continue.

"See? I knew...even then." And I kissed her lips. Gently, passionatly, quickly.

"I can't argue with that." I gave up and lied against his chest, still shivering. I pulled Hailey closer, prying her fingers away from Jasper's already-disasterous hair. "By the way, I'm combing your hair tomorrow."

I laughed, despite myself. "That sounds like Amaya." I realized that I still felt a bit light-headed from the fall, and I leaned against Jasper for support. My head was spinning wildly, and I felt as if only a light wind could blow me over.


(Any particular reason Jasper's not freaking about me being cold? 'Cause he's Mr. Protective.... xD)

[Jane should totally barge in on this. xD]

Cassandra's eyes fluttered shut, and she quickly kissed him back, her hands wrapping around his neck. She rarely got to kiss him like this, so she enjoyed every second of it.

A concerned look came over Jasper's featured, and he quickly wrapped a thick blanket around her-- part of it wrapping around Hailey, as well. "You still cold?" He asked, a still worried look on his face. It was better than pain, at least.

Jasper supported her weight with ease, continuing to stroke her hair. "You took that fall pretty hard, want to go lay down?" He offered, although he was still plenty worried to begin with. Really, he had a lot to worry about. [xD]

(Uh, totally! I CALL BEING JANE! xD)


My hands tangled in her hair, pulling her closer to my frozen body. One hand cradled her head, and the other kept us together.
I threw open the door to Alec's room. "ALEC WINFIELD![Random last name. xD] What are you doing?"

"A l-l-little." I admitted, snuggling deeper into his arms. "D-d-don't worry ab-bout m-me." I coughed and closed my eyes.

"Uuuuhh...." I hoped he understood that as yes. Then again, he would probably make me lie down whatever I said, so it didn't exactly matter. I continued to sway unhealthily.


(Me haz an idea.)

Cassandra gasped faintly, gently pulling away from his tempting lips, and lowering her head. She didn't move from where she was, though; that would have probably made things very obvious to Jane. Not wanting to anger the newcomer, she remained silent. For once, she didn't want Jane to throw her own words back at her this time.

"I can't help but worry about you." Murmured Jasper, a gentle tone to his worried voice. He rubbed the blanket against her arms, creating friction that could hopefully warm her.

"Do ya want Carlisle to have a look see?" Asked Hailey. She was already starting to become worried for Amanda, just as Jasper.

"Alright," Whispered Jasper, picking her up [gently] in his arms, and disappearing down the flight of stairs, laying her down on Amaya's bed. He knew she wouldn't mind; she hardly used it anyways. "Would you like for me to get you some medicine from Sally? I'm sure she has some." He offered gently.

(*is quiet about idea* HEHE~ xD)


I snarled at Cassandra. "Come. NOW!"

"I'm f-fine." I sneezed. Well, that didn't help the convincing-Jasper-that-I'm-fine bit. "R-r-r-really." But the shivering did seem to be increasing.

"Cheese pudding...."

(I haz a concussion. In the RP, not life. )
(That's where cheese pudding came from. xD)

[I'll be patient... for now. xD]

Cassandra nodded solemnly, quietly slipping away from Alec and to Jane. Truly, she looked tired, but she dared not defy the impatient one. "Yes, Jane?" She asked, folding her hands in front of her calmly.

Jasper was about to protest, but Hailey was already on the case. "Carrrrlliiiisssllleee!" She called merrily, running into the kitchen.

"Well, it seems as if Hailey's already on it." Jasper chuckled, continuing to try and warm her with the blankets.

In no time at all, Sally appeared. "Step aside for a moment, Jasper." She ordered gently, and despite the fact that he didn't like it one bit, he obeyed. She was now kneeling in front of the girl, checking her for any signs. She held one of her eyes open, looking into them. "Minor concussion. You need to stay awake for us, alright?"

"Come with me. Aro has more to discuss with you."

I laughed hoarsly. "Jasper, I wouldn't be surprised if Hailey really was our child. She takes after you a lot." My voice was so waverly, so thin.

"O...okay." I whispered, my head feeling as if it was on fire. "Jasper...." I moaned. "Why is my head on fire?"

Cassandra nodded, glancing back at Alec quickly, and then following Jane in an eerie sort of silence.

[You play Carlisle.]

"Caaarrrllleeehhh!" Chirped Hailey, tugging on Carlisle's arm when she reached him.

"Your head isn't on fire, love." Murmured Jasper comfortingly, pressing his lips to her head, trying to soothe the supposed burning that she was feeling in it.
