Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's illegal in most states.....And if you marry a family member your children will be DEFORMED! Well it's more likley that your children will have a birth defect if you marry a family member.

It is not true that cousins who have children will have "retarded" children. That is a sterotype and for centuries in all other countries it was preferred that cousins marry so as to keep families close and to keep money within a family.
However, if there are any kind of genetic disorder in your family, even many generations ago, you have a better chance of passing that on if you have a child with your first cousin. Most of the boys in European royal families died from hemophilia because of repeated inbreeding in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The only states that allow marrige between cousins are: Alaska, Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington D.C(I know not a state but whatev)

I have these cousins I didn't even know about for most of my life, and my mom said that we're like 5th or 6th cousins or something, so technically we're so distantly related, we could get married if we wanted to.

Wow things have been going bad. Clover my best friend and my other best friend had a sleepover with each other and they got on facebook and told my crush that I was madly in love with him and that I talk about him all the time. He like cussed me out later on facebook when I got on he was like stay out of my life. Gosh I don't know what to do I don't think i like him anymore though.

Shadow, I personally think you do. And, I have to throw this out, good job for catching on so quickly. XD It took me 5 MONTHS to realize that I liked my best guy friend as more than a friend. And it won't ruin your friendship. I promise. I liked my guy friend for two years as of yesterday, and we just got together as a couple. We're still best friends though, and it's almost like nothing has changed. I think it's the very best romance you can have, because you already know that you like him as a friend, and you know him well enough that you don't feel guilty liking him, because you know you don't like him just because of his looks or anything, and you know that he's a good person. So you're pretty much in the clear if you get what I'm saying.
