[new announcement] Rose, Mist, Bramble, Storm, Half, Vamp, and Were

(S) Phantompaw smiled at his mentor and entered nervously into the cave, "Evening Oakwing," he mewed politely, his eyes evading hers.

Eagleflight yawned and sat up. It took her a few minutes to register that she was in the RoseClan medicine cat's den and had kits now.

(S) Phantompaw looked up at his mentor and nodded his head, "Just tired..." he replied and yawned to prove it. "But... anything interesting planned?" he asked her, curiousity danced in his eyes.

(S) Phantompaw's face lit up, unable to surpress his interest, "Alright..." he nodded his head, stepping back and allowing his mentor to get out of her own den.

Oaking purred, and headed towards the fresh-kill pile. She chose a small mouse for herself, nibbling thoughtfully while she tried to think of the best places marigold grew. When she finished, she went back to summon Phantompaw.
"Let's go!"

(S) Phantompaw lept to his feet and trailed after his mentor. He turned back and flicked his tail in farewell to another apprentice he had been talking with.

"Where we going to?" he asked, bouncing along like a sing-a-long icons from the ninties.

(( Didja miss me? =3 ))

Oakwing purred with amusement. "Aren't we excited?" she asked him. Sniffing the air, she replied, "We're going to go near the stream a little bit. There's a nice patch growing by one side."

(*huggles* Course I did buddy! xP)

(S) Phantompaw shamelessly nodded his head and smiled, "A bit..." he purred, falling into step beside her. "The stream... Cool..."

(Yay! I love my internet buddies. xD )


Oakwing nodded. She suspected there might be something on Phantompaw's mind, but then again, he might just be tired. Should I really be dragging him trhoughout the forest, then? Before she had time to contemplate her actions, Oakwing stopped herself from crashing into the marigold patch.
"Ooh, it really grew in the past moon. Well, we're here," she said. Deciding to quiz Phantompaw, she asked, "What do we use marigold for?"

(Awwhh... I feel loved, and the love spins around...)

(S) Phantompaw paused, sitting down at the edge of the patch for a moment. His amber eyes glittered with curiousity and he watched the blooms dance in the wind.

"The flower is good for infections and the leaves are used for dressing wounds," he said with a bright smile.

( SO....MUCH...LOVE )

"Exactly right!" mewed Oakwing. "Now, not all of this is ready to be picked. You can grab a few stalks from the center of this patch, that's where the flowers are biggest. Bite the stalk as close to the ground as you can get," instructed Oakwing. She nipped a few stalks with her teeth, making sure not to damage the plants, "Like thiff," she said through a mouthful of flowers.

(*pokes* Love!!)

(S) Phantompaw watched his mentor and nodded his head. Leaping to his paws he drifted towards the patch. The apprentice lowered his head, vanishing underneath a sea of yellow. When he reappeared he had a few stalks dangling from his mouth with a pleased look on his face.

(This amount of love calls for some fancy chocolates!)

"Excellent," remarked Oakwing, though slightly muffled. She signaled for Phantompaw to follow her, then led the way back to the camp.

(I gotta go again, but I should be on in a few hours. I have no life on a Friday night. xD)

(Awwhh... Adios mi amiga! Have fun wherever you are going to!!)

(S) Phantompaw leapt up and followed after happily. Every now and then he'd sneeze a bit but was careful to keep a good grip on the stalks...

(R) Moonlightkit bounded into the den, "I wanna see! I wanna see!" she cried, trying to side-step the medicine cat.

Bounding behind her came another kitten, a male one who seemed rather big to be a kitten still.

Eagleflight raised her head and saw the kits, and immediately the fur along her neck and spine began to rise warningly.

(R) "Moonlightkit, Bramblekit!" Snowstorm snapped, stretching out in front of the two. "You aren't supposed to be in here!"

"But we wanna see the kittens!" whined Bramblekit, his amber eyes looking up at her pleadingly.
