I dug through my locker, intent on not being late on my next class. Of course, I probably would be, I always was. Humming Know The Enemy by Geen Day very softly, stuffed my textbook and a binder into my messenger bag.

I nodded and slung her good arm around my shoulder,so I was supporting her. I whistled a long, shrill note, waiting as it echoed around the valley.
