I walked into Language Arts, sliding into the seat beside my brother. I looked down at my diary, stroking the velvet. Hopefully we'd be doing something fun today.

I slowly walked into my Language Arts class and sat down next to a friendly-looking girl. I squinted while looking at the board, reading the assignment, and then groaned, as usual.

The assignment was on the board. "You're going to like this one." Alex whispered to me. I looked up. "What Would You Do If..." Was the topic. Alex was right- this would be fun.

I took out a piece of paper and wrote down my name in big letters, which I only used if I was upset and not in the mood to even be writing my name, none the less an essay.

I just wrote and wrote, smiling to myself. But at the same time, I was irritated. I wanted to write my way. My hand writing was horrible when I held the pencil- I needed to make it float. I sighed, and decided that I'd write for pleasure when I got home. My way.

I wrote slowly, with big letters, trying to fill the page as quickly as possible. I looked at the clock thinking, Move faster! Go! I want to get out of here!

I followed a boy and a girl out to lunch, trying not to look creepy. They were far ahead of me, so I sped up my pace to a jog to reach them.

I rubbed my forehead, tired. School wiped me out, usually the first couple of days at the most.

I walked with Karnin to the lunch hall, pushing my goggles onto my head. They were slightly loose, so they slipped quite often.
