"I have her too." I smiled, pleased with this turn of events. "Isn't that great?" I asked, meaning it as a retorical question. "yeah, it's perfect!" Alexis stormed off, clearly angry.

"Alexis?" I walked over to her table, hoping things hadn't gone to far. When Alexis got really mad or sad or both, her power tokk over her body.
"Leave me alone Alex. Go play with your new friend." I snapped. "Alexis!" He argued. "Leave me alone." Now I was roaring-dragon mad. He could see it in my eyes that my power was about to do some damage.

"Alexis, calm down. Calm." I backed away slowly. "Alex." She snarled, seeming ot realize that we would be discovered. "Leave me alone." She'd deal with me at home, I assumed. Might as well not get myself into more trouble. I walked back over to the table.

The two of us walked into the cafe, striking differences. While I liked wearing normal clothes, Aeropostale polos of such, Meluu liked her skinnies and goggles, usually accentuated with a dash of neon bright makeup. I indicated a girl alone at a table and the two of us walked over.

"Hey." I said, smiling to the girl. "I'm Meluu, and this is my brother, Karnin."

I tried to wipe away my tears. "We already met, remember? We found a piece of gray grass." I smiled slightly, hoping she would remember.

My eyes darkened, imperceptibly. Crap. She had remembered. I smiled, to blow it off. "They probably spray-painted it. Like for the soccer fields?" I slid into a chair, taking off my messenger bag and dropping it on the floor. "Ah." I muttered, nudging my goggles. They were loose, as usual.

I sensed Meluu tensing. Underneath the table, I pinched her, reminding her that we had to keep our cover. Tossing my backpack on the floor, I slid into the chair next to Meluu.

My head jerked up, sensing someone watching us. It was Alex. Alexis' brother. I smiled at him, to cover the awkward moment, when he saw I was watching him.

"Maybe...." My voice trailed off. "I wonder why it was so close to us though. Maybe it blew away...." I was in deep thought now, thinking about a book I had read about the ones who had secrets. Like myself.
