I glanced around at the crowds of students in the cafe. I sat down at a table with my tray, next to Catrin. Suddenly, the cafe doors burst open, and a man in a padded army uniform walked in. "We found this," he held up a feather "in the parking lot outside the dorms." He eyeballed every single student.

"It's not flesh and blood, dummy." I snapped, panicking a lot now. I closed my fist around the feather, begging anyone or anything to make it invisible or for it to disintegrate. I clutched it's glossy silvery form and begged hard.
