Innocence is Forgiven

I wonder where Miranda is... Alex was heading to Miranda's dorm room to see if she was there.

She placed the knife in a drawer and locked it quickly, drying the blood from her wrists. She put gymnastics tape over it to look like she had did gymnastics earlier.

Alex made it to Miranda's dorm and knocked on the door. "Miranda! Are you in here?"

"Yeah." she called weakly, she was sick again. "Come in?" her face was super pale now.

Alex went inside and got concerned seeing how she looked. "Are you sick? You look pale."

"Yeah." Miranda replied hoarsly, her hair was dyed black now.

"You don't sound like it."

"I'm sick and everything, ok? I feel like crap as usual." I plopped down on the bed and curled up with some meds in my hand.

"Are you supposed to be taking those meds?"

"Yes, it's for my sickness." I replied drowsly, reaching for his shirt. "If I don't wake up, you'll understand why soon." I fell asleep, loopy again.

"What? Understand?"

I fell asleep in a trance and woke with a start. "Ugh..." I rubbed my forehead.

"You ok?"

"No....." I moaned in reply, looking up for him.

"What's wrong?"

"I feel like crap and I look like crap too."

"No, you don't. What's going on?"

"Nothing!" I gripped my wrist under the covers.

"You're lying!"

"No I am not!" my voice was scratchy as I looked at him. "If I was lying, I wouldn't kiss you. But I don't wanna get you sick..."

"Would you just... tell me the truth? Otherwise, I'm walking. For good."

"I am telling the truth." the pain went away and some color returned to my face.

"No you're not. I can tell."

"I can't tell you....family secrets."
