Camp Vamp

Jin made a 'hmph' sound. Cheaka looked at Haven, "Well, you see. Jin is a pure-breed werewolf. And basically, Haven, your scratching the left ear of the leader of the Werewolf-Clan." said Cheaka with an awkward smile. Jin pulled away from Haven and transformed back to his human form. He smirked at Haven, "You have a lot of guts, Haven Gazda of the Gray-Were Clan. Your next in line to be leader, right?" he said. Cheaka looked at Jin, "What are you doing?" she asked.

Haven smiled, then stopped. "What..? Wait, how do you know my full name..?" She paused. "No..What? Wait..Gray-Were Clan? No. Leader? No. No, no, no." She shook her head for emphasis. "I don't even...belong to a clan."

Jin snapped his finger's, "Thats right! Your mother had erased your memories! She had died in doing so. But as for you father- wait. Would you like to learn about your past? My dearest cousin? Or to hear about you dear clan?" he asked. Cheaka just sighed, "I'll stay with you Haven." she said. Jin laughed a little, "Ok, they history of the Gray-Were Clan was peaceful, until your father fell in love with a vampiress. They fell madly in love. Their fathers were bother very good friends and when you father ask for your mothers hand in marriage, she said yes and their fathers agreed. But 5 years later, a strong and very powerful demon had attacked your clan. You were a half-breed and a small one at that. Your sister and brother were bother pure-breeds. You were also the youngest. After the attack you were terribly afraid of demons. So, to save your heart from rotting from a bad and bloody past, she sacrificed her self to wipe you and your siblings from your horrid past. As for you father, no one knows what happened." Jin stopped and cleared his throat, "And right now, the Gray-Were Clan leader is Leon the Great, or in other words, your grandfather. I, on the other hand, was born into the world as the new heir to the Gray-Were Clan, but I refused. I said that I would find you and that I would bring you back. But the deal ends a week after summer camp is out. So instead of leading your clan, I'm leading mine. We are called the Night-Were Clan, second in command, your clan is third. Anything else you want to know?" he said.

Haven's jaw all but dropped. His words silenced her, and there were none that she could bequeath. How did he know so freaking much about her family? Was he, like, half wizard? She looked at Cheaka, when she spoke, but her eyes always landed back on Jin. She shook her head. "No..no...Wait, you came here...for me?" she asked, puzzled. "Sounds like some sort of mangled love story, if you ask me," she added. She swallowed hard. "And, anyways, how do you know so much about..me? My family? My past?"

Jin sighed, "1.) I'm your cousin. 2.) I heard the story from your clan. 3.)No way am I even close to loving you! You're more of a friend to me. 4.) I didn't come here for you, well kinda. But the main reason is because Cheaka asked me to. I'm sorry, but I had to tell you. When I heard Cheaka say your name, I was over powered with joy. And, i'm not a half-breed. I'm a pure-breed Night Wolf. Plus, I'm next to be leader." said Jin, "If you'd like to know more, just ask." Cheaka held her head, "Sorry Haven. My brain is too full." she said walking away leaving Jin and Haven alone together.

Haven nodded. Her brain thwaked on her skull, as it pounded to process the information. She sighed, lightly, when he said he was never going to love her, because, how sweet would it have been to have a crush on the first day of camp. But, apparently, they were "related". That would just be weird. "Uhm..Okay..Are all werewolves 'cousins', per se?" she asked.

Jin sighed, "Basically. Even though I just said your father is my.....half-uncle. I don't know the story. But there are a few clans that don't keep in touch. My clan believes that the Grass-Were's and the Winter-Were Clans are dead. But human have studied the Winter-Were Clan for a long time.Human's call them, the Arctic Wolf." said Jin.

Cheaka lied on her bed and took out her book, "Ah, time for a history lesson that doesn't involve Jin." she said opening it. ''Chapter 1.'' she said. Cheaka quietly read to herself.

Haven nodded. "But what about that Twilight bull?" she asked. "That one leader dude, Sam, I think, he fell in love and married a werewolf, Emily, when he was one, too." She looked shocked. "Does that mean that cousins married cousins?"

Jin smacked his head, "Well, yes. But only a selected clans are to marry. My clan for example, we only let Winter-Were's and Gray-Were's marry my clan. If I were to marry a Grass-Were, which I won't, I would then be exiled. The Twilight? Thats just a book. Got it memorized?" he said.

"Got it." Haven nodded, her bangs falling into her eyes. "So, I could marry you, or anyone from your clan, and I wouldn't be exiled." She smiled. "Got it."

Jin smirked, "Yup. But I would. I bet you get your sarcasm from your mother."

"Wait, but..That does not make any sense whatsoever." Haven let out a humongous sigh. "I thought you said our clans could marry?"

"Right. I was just making sure that you were paying attention. Uh-oh, I feel like a history teacher. Great."said Jin giving a thumbs up to Haven. All of a sudden a jet black wolf with ice blue eyes and a battle scar along his flank approached Jin. Jin looked at the wolf with great interest, "Hello General. Is something wrong with the Night-Were's boundaries? Or are our cousins visiting?" he asked the scared wolf. The wolf didn't bark or change into his human form, he spoke an ancient language that Jin seem to know. "I see. But General as you can see, I have found her. There is no need for me or her to go back to the clan right now. Like I said before, the week after camp is out I will reunite her with her clan. Oh, and tell father hello for me." said Jin. The wolf bowed to Jin and ran off in the same direction where he came from.

"Who was that?" Haven asked, a little blown away from the meeting between the black wolf with sapphire eyes and Jin. "Is something wrong?" she asked, feeling oddly left out when they had exchanged in the extremely foreign language.

Jin looked at Haven, "That was my clans second-in-command. We don't know his real name so we call him General since his is like one. Nothing is wrong really. My father just wanted to check up on my search for you and I told General that I found you. General was surprised and he wanted me to bring you back to our clan so that you could be leader. But I told him I stilled had more time. So we agreed that I would bring you back at the end of camp." he explained. Jin felt how Haven felt when he talked to General in the were-code. Jin smiled, "I'll teach you the language of the were's. Or for short, the were-code."

Haven nodded, her brain taking in all that he said. Then, when he mentioned the were-code, her face lit up. "Great," she replied. "It'd be nice to know my native language," she added, smiling.

Jin smiled, "Yeah," he said scratching his head, "Well I better go and find the book about the were-codes."

Haven nodded, smiling brightly at him. "Here, I'll go with you to look. Is there, like, a library around here, on campus, or in town?" she asked. "I'm pretty sure we can leave if we have a friend come with, right?"

Jin looked at Haven, "Um, I don't think you can go in the boys cabins. I'll get it." he said laughing while he walked inside. Jin rummaged through his bag and he found the book. The book was brown and had a leahtery feel to it. He walked back out side and handed Haven the book, "Here. It has a magical barrier around it so it can't get yet. Humans call it waterproof."

Haven ran her fingers along the spine, smiling. It felt good, natural, even, under her fingers. She pulled it open to the first page, the paper weathered and old.

Jin saw the seriousness in Havens eyes when she opened the book. He sighed, "Well, I'm off to find Fred and to see if I can go to the nearby town." he said waving his hand as he walked away from Haven. Jin knocked on Fred's door, "Fred? You in there?"

Haven closed the book. "Hey, wait, Jin! Do you think I might be able to tag along, be able to learn some more about you?" she asked, catching up with him.

"Jin turned around surprised, "You want to learn more about me?" he said stunned. He sighed, "Well what else would you like to know?"
