Kathy raised her eyebrows upon hearing him. She sighed. He was hopping by the tree's branches. She kept walking, feeling a bit awkward. Why did that always happen?

(Today... We had Math and History finals... Exams... Whatever people call them... ACK! BORING!!!! 2 hours of math exams, and then 1hr 20 mins. of history!!!!)



Jesse accidently read her mind. 'Ugh... I hate reading minds...' he thought to himself.

(( eww! hahaha. most boring subjects ever. XD
anyways, yayy! you're finally done. x3 ))

Kathy grew a bit bored, so she sat down on the ground & took out a book from her bag that went across the shoulders.

(LOL, yeah, I'm happy about that. I almost fell asleep.... )


Jese stopped, looked down, and then kept going, leaving her there, for now.


(Time for conflict... Something has to happen to Jesse or Kathy. Who's more vulnerable?)

Kathy put on her glasses & began reading.

(( yeahh. i kinda think kathy is. ;3 ))

(LOL, ok, what should happen to Kathy... Should someone take her hostage...? Maybe one of those werewolves that Jesse fought off....)



Jesse kept wandering, and soon jumped to the ground. He wandered near a stream, that he often went to. He was more calm, now, though still protective.

(( ohh. i like that idea. xD ))

Kathy kept reading the book, completely immersed in it. She looked around, but didn't see Jesse anywhere. She frowned, then thought he was probably just around taking a walk.

Jesse sat on a rock, and stared up at the sky.

One of the werewolves - named Kevin - was wandering the woods, smelling a vampire. He wanted revenge on Jesse, but knew he wasn't near. So, he went for something important to Jesse... Kathy. He stalked around, behind trees, and bushes, toward her, watching her closely.

Jesse could smell the 'wolf' but knew that they were probably near the neighborhood anyways, so he thought nothing of it.

Kevin snuck up more on Kathy, and grabbed her. He covered her mouth, so she couldn't scream, but knew he might get bitten, anyways. He didn't care.

Kathy felt someone grab her & instantly dropped her book. She tried screaming but before she could they had already covered her mouth, so it came out all muffled.

Jesse heard a sound, but thought nothing of it.


Kevin looked at her, and uncovered her mouth. "Shh. Shh..." he urged, "It's ok... I won't hurt you... I'm just a werewolf, seeking revenge.. And, if you stay still, and make no fuss, I won't have to crush you..." he smiled, a sinister smile.


Jesse heard talking now, and lurked toward the talking. He smelled the scent of the wolf, stronger then before. Then, he saw Kathy... And Kevin, holding her 'hostage'. He growled, but it was hardly even audible.

" Get away from me! " she said, trying to push him away & not even noticing Jesse.

Jesse hid, behind a bush, silently, watching, very protective now. He was in a defensive position.

Kevin was clueless toward Jesse. He ddin't know he was there. He looked at Kathy, and said, "Now, calm down... you wouldn't want your little friend getting hurt, or yourself, would you? I mean..." he paused, not sure, but went on, not caring about what she thought, "Jesse is very protective of you... If I were to hurt you, then he'd do something rash... We wouldn't want that..." he was speaking like he was tlaking to a child.


Jesse growled, again, barring his teeth. He slinked around to the back of them, making sure he was able to attack, without being seen, still.

Kathy thought about what he said. " You're... - " she was gonna say right, but then thought otherwise. " Then what do you want? "

Kevin thought. He wasn't sure of that. "It's just revenge... You don't have to think it through completely..." he muttered.


Jesse was about ready to attack. He watched Kevin closely.


Kevin then went to do something, mostly to harm Kathy, but Jesse was faster.


Jesse lunged forward, sending Kevin flying, but leaving Kathy sitting. Him and Kevin were now rustling in the bushes, when Jesse darted out, so fast, it looked like a blur.
Kevin shifted into a wolf, and was ready to attack.
Jesse got into a defensive position. "Stay back." he snarled, barring his teeth again, eyes turning red.

Kathy gasped, & stayed sitting. She was so scared & nervous she didn't know what to do.

Jesse looked at Kathy, warning in his eyes.

Keving went to lunged for her, but Jesse was quick to move her, accidently having her like he craddled her. "Sorry." he muttered, putting her down, somewhere safer.

Jesse went back to fighting off Kevin. He bit into his soulder, making Kevin yip.

Kevin went to bite, but was driven to the ground, but got Jesse's leg. "GAH!" Jesse shouted, seeing clawing marks of where he got clawed. It healed almost instantly, though.

Kathy bit her lip, so hard that she thought it would bleed. She began climbing a tree, watching them. She was incredibly worried for Jesse, but she knew that if she tried doing something she'd only make things worse.

Kevin lunged at Jesse driving him back into a tree, luckily a different one than the one Kathy was in. It didn't even phase Jesse, because he hopped back forward, and drove Kevin into a rock, making him bleed. Jesse smelled the blood, and fought the urge. But, then he went after Kevin, and got injured. Then Kevin crawled off, into wolf form, bleeding.
Jesse walked away, head down, eyes wide and red. He sat against a tree, on the ground, and calmed himself down. "sorry..." he muttered again, to Kathy.

As soon as the werewolf left Kathy went down from the tree. She sat besides Jesse, " Are you okay? " she asked him, her face had worry written all over it.

Jesse looked at her, a smile twitching at the edges of his lips. "Yes, I'm fine. I heal quickly..." he paused, "The question is... Are you ok...?" he looked at her, a bit worried about what had happened.

" I'm okay, " she said & nodded quickly. " Look, I'm sorry... " she mumbled.

"It's fine," he said, "You don't have to apologize... Besides... I don't mind protecting people... It's a natural thing..." he said, looking at the ground, and then back at her.

Kathy leaned her head on his shoulder & nodded, " Yeah... but it's just that I shouldn't have come here with you then... I mean, " she shrugged, " You said it was dangerous & stuff. "

Jesse was almost shocked when she did this. He wasn't used to people, or anyone, really, but he ddin't mind. Just as habit, like his mom used to do to him, he lightly ran his fingers through her hair, almost so lightly it was fake, and said, "It's fine. I swear. Trust me..." he looked at her, and dropped his hand, pulling it to his side, "I don't mind..."

Kathy was surprised when he ran his fingers through her hair. It was very lightly, but it was a bit comforting. She just didn't expect it. " Mmkay, good, " she nodded, " And, thanks... "
