Angel in my midst

Angel in my midst-
I sat at a table and waited all day,
You're the only one who knows my way.
I rose above all the other ones,
You stayed there through all the months.
And every tear, you saw in your heart,
And every puzzle, you held the last part.
You completed my work, you made me shine,
You always seemed sweet, you always said you were fine.
And I was the cup, raised above your head,
You played by my side, you prayed by my bed.
And I was the one, sleeping content,
You were the warrior, heaven sent.
You held your sword and took all my foes,
You stood strong through all of my blows.
You lifted my head and stood behind,
No one so faithfull, I could ever find.
And when you were down, you never showed,
And I always lead, and you always fallowed.
You never showed problem or pride at that,
You gave me a dollar, you gave me a cat.
You smiled in my shadow, hearing them chear,
You didn't mind my heart, you didn't mind my fear.
You had my back when I never did,
You always fought, I always hid.
Now time comes fast and I'm growing up,
I'm not that kitten anymore, I'm a full grown pup.
But still you're there, behind my step,
You gave me your place, you gave me your rep.
You didn't mind my glory, you smiled at that,
You let me stand, when you only sat.
And time leaves sadness, thats what we know,
You watched me cry, you watched me grow.
You let me lead, and didn't mind all the fits,
You were always that angel, the one in my midsts.
