The strong young leader's keen gaze scanned the horizon, searching for any sign of trouble. He refused to let himself be lulled into a (possibly false) sense of security by the peaceful state of the pride at the moment.

Naeri spotted another lion up ahead of her, she stopped for a minute before proceding up to the lion. "Hello." she said in a kind, gentle voice as to not make the lion to think she was trying to start a fight.

Toryn's ears flicked back suspiciously and his eyes narrowed slightly. "Who are you?" His strong 'leader voice' combined with his muscular physique to get across to any stranger that he was not a lion to be double-crossed or messed with.

She put her ears back, and backed off a little. "I'm Naeri, a wanderer who came from very far away." She observed him, his behaviour mainly. He seemed to be standing his ground, he seemed like the leader of a pride. But she didn't know that for sure.

He examined her closely, the sound of her voice and her body language. She seemed to be telling the truth, as far as he could tell. "Why are you here?"

"Like I said, I'm a wanderer. I've been searching for awhile for a pride to join but haven't have much luck in finding any yet." She looked up to him, hoping that he would know where a pride was she could join.

"Because I've been wandering for way to long, I'd like to stay in one place for awhile. Get to have the sensation of being in a pride and not having to rely on only myself for everything."

-----Dairka sighed.”Geez,” she complained, “Don’t do this to me! How can I stay optimistic when you won’t cheer up?” She looked down, trying to fight against the irrational fear that was beginning to surface again. Zeon was gone. They wouldn’t see him again for a while. There wasn’t anything to worry about.

-----Dairka hesitated a moment, then sighed and plopped into a sitting position. “This sucks. We really need to get rid of Zeon once and for all.” Her voice did shake slightly as she said so, but not really out of fear - more like nervousness. Basically she was suggesting they kill him . . . and she really doubted she ever would, even if she could.

"It would probably make it worse," I agreed. "Since he won't have to worry about fulfilling his duties to the pride. Maybe if he gets caught, though, he won't be allowed out of their camp without another pride member?" I added hopefully.
