Story Exchange

I was wondering if we could start a kind of story-exchange kind of thing. You'd fill out a form, like this...

Name of Story:
(Approx.) Length of final story:
Finished/In Writing:
Link to Story:
Desired edits: (Grammar, spelling, plot, content, style.)

And then, at the end of the week, the people who would manage the thread would pair the stories together, in pairs. Then you'd be PMed, and you'd edit all of the existing chapters for the story first, and you'd PM it to the author, so they could look through. They'd do the same with yours.
And then, every time when you or the other person posted a new chapter, it would be your responsiblity to make the edits as well as you could, and PM it to them.

This idea would increase the already amazing quality of our writing, and give us some time to look at writing in detail.

What do you think of the idea?

Great idea! And would we have the same partners, or would it switch off? I think we should switch off, so that you get different opinions.

Yep, switching off is a good idea, but you could also have multiple people who you exchanged your story with, as long as you reviewed everyone's stories

I'm a little confused, so can you clarify this for me? xD Sorry, lol, I'm exhausted today. Is what happens that two people's stories get paired together, and then they have to be the editors for each others' stories?

Yep, sort of like that. I guess they could put the form on the top of their thread, and if people wanted to exchange, they'd just PM the person, and then they'd edit each others stories.
Example...
Person 1.....Story A
Person 2.....Story B
P1 - Want to trade stories? I have story A.
P2 - Sure! How about my story B?
P1 - That's great! I'll start editing!
P2 - Okay, me too. *shows edits of chapters which are posted*
P1 - Here's your edits *shows edits of chapters which are posted*
P2 - Thanks! I have another chapter up, could you edit it please?
P1 - Sure, here it is! *edit of new chapter*

And so on... You get it?

Got it. Would this be going on between that pair for the rest of their stories, though, or could they opt out? And would they have to switch it to the edits, if they preferred it how it was before? (I mean, I know it might just be a bunch of grammar and spelling and such that's changed, but still. xD)

No, it would just be between the two stories that were exchanged. They could, of course, go to the other stories by the person and exchange again, but they could simply do it with two stories.
They wouldn't have to switch edits, it would be up to them. Some things, like the plot, wouldn't really be edits, just comments, but the grammar and spelling, well, it'd probably be smart to change it

No, I mean, would those stories be edited by that pair every time more was added?

Ahh, okay. And would they be like pointing out the edits by using some other color when they did them, so the original author knows what got changed?

Well, I think that you'd be able to discuss that with the other person, but I think by default, yep
And yes, I think that using a color would be good

Lol, that's painstakingly obvious . . . xD That would work, if Arianna thinks so too.

I don't really know. You could make a 'story exchange' thread (or I could) and then people would post the form on their thread, so if someone liked the story, they could choose. Otherwise, it could be a sub-section of stories.

I think it's a relitively good idea.

Yep, I think we could definitely add this! I'm just not sure who'd be in charge. I can't really be in charge of the project myself cus I've already got a ton on my plate, so yah.
