He burned inside, numbing the pain
He tried to take his breath away
Though he wished and died inside
The thoughts he kept, they never lied
Praying for another light
Someone to keep him whole at night
He stared to the sky, screaming pleas
Though they all left him on his knees
A lonely drum, a silent beat
Kept tune with his heart's defeat
Dimmed street lights and planets aligned
Keeping the memory of lives entwined
A foolish grin, a hopeless case
That's all he wanted to erase
One night of joy, infinite pain
Took reality and drove it insane
Secrets told, and then undone
The only solution was to run
The end was quick, daunting fate

I love this one so much Forry. It tells a haunting tale, and yet it's beautiful. The setting gives you a picture of sadness and release, love it!
