Wild Fire *Unfinished*
This is based on the Warriors series and the good ol' Rose Clan RP on WI. Sorry if I don't update it too often, but I'm not a very reliable person. XP
Maturity: Um, cat romance, death, mild romance.
Fantasy: Talking cats, prophecies and such.
Saraphina curled her tail around her delicate pink paws, enjoying the rippling sunlight that drenched her fur. She sat on the ledge of a windowsill, peeking her half-opened eyelids through the glass. She spotted Spike wrestling with a piece of grass on the edge of the garden. The kitten couldn't help but giggle as she watched the toughest cat she'd ever known struggle with an inanimate object. Of course her brother was only a few months older than she was, but she always would think of him as her elder. He was her only guardian, after all. Her mother, Tyra, died a few days after she was born and she had never met her father.
The first couple of weeks after the death of Tyra were really tough on little Sara. Of course it wasn't because she was sad, for she was much too young to care, but Spike blamed his little sister for her death. In that while, she was very lonely, but at least her twolegs still cared for her. Luckily Spike warmed up to the kitten after that moody phase had passed and began treating her like a daughter.
The small cat rose to her legs, stretching out the little stubby limbs before waddling out into her backyard.
"Spikey!" she squealed out, looking around for him. She called his name once more, but still received no answer.
With a huffy sigh, Saraphina went to the patch of grass where she saw him playing before. For some reason, she still wasn't able to find him anymore.
Suddenly a thump interrupted her search. She heard hissing, then came throaty growling. With a frightened quiver, she dove and hid behind the patch of vibrant purple petunias beside her. She tried to make no sound as she peaked a lush pine eye through a gap in the petals.
"Get away from me, you freak!" came the voice of her brother, through Sara couldn't see him anywhere.
"I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to do that. Ever heard the expression curiosity kills the cat?" snarled a deep voice from nearby that made Saraphina's fur stand on end. "Well, consider this your lucky break. You found what you were looking for... And now it's either accept my offer or die."
She let out a quiet gasp, heart pounding with fear.
What's going on? she thought in panic.
Suddenly, her brother stumbled into view. With his faintly stripe onyx fur ruffled, he shakily backed towards the house. She had never seen the tom so frightened.
"Fine. I accept," he mewed weakly, trying to make his voice sound brave.
The older male who was talking to him finally crossed Sara's vision. He was huge. All that she could fully see were his charcoal, tabby paws. She could also see the bottoms of his muscley shoulders, but she was far too afraid to lift her head and look at his his face. Saraphina could also make out faint scars crisscrossing his greasy pelt. With long, razor-sharp claws like his, she wondered how he could possibly fail to defend himself against the cats who gave him his injuries. Everything about him was menacing.
"And don't back out on us," he snapped, lashing his tail. "We'll hunt you down."
And with that, the tom cat slunk away. Spike clumsily broke away the second the intimidating cat had his back turned, flying through the cat door. Saraphina was too scared to follow so she stayed hidden in her spot.
Two things that day had changed forever.
1. Spike was no longer the tough cat Saraphina thought he was. Compared to the scary tabby, anyway.
2. Saraphina's destiny took a sharp turn that day... And she had no idea.
The kitten shook herself awake. She studied her surroundings with a brief moment of confusion before realizing she had fallen asleep outside. The chilly breeze crept right through her fur, causing her to shiver. Saraphina quickly rose to her feet with a crack to her back and a stretch to her legs. She noticed that all around her, little diamonds of frost were webbed across the now yellowing leaves.
That explains why it's so freezing, she thought, making her way through the darkness. She paused to admire the splash of stars that were above her, casting a silver glow onto the lawn. She subconsciously wished that one day she'd be able to see all of the stars.

Thank you so much, New! And yeah, Wildstar was the leader's name. I'll see if I ever can work on this, considering I have like six stories going on at once now. XP They're all kind of on hiatus, but still.
