Her smile grew wider as she let out a genuine laugh. "You're so sweet, Kenndayln," she commented, pursing her lips.

His frown softened just a little bit as he responded. "I would," he began with a shrug, passing a short glance over at Kenndalyn. "But I'm not sure what she'd say. Hey - I've always been the shy one."

"thank you," kenndalyn replied, smiling. "anything for the girl who's always been there for me!"

"well, the thing is you've got to make sure that you start talking to the girl you want to ask a lot," travis explained. "& when you ask her to the dance, you have to do it a very special way, which will make her want to go with you. you need to do it a way that she'll never forget."

Brooke laughed; she was so grateful to have Kenndayln there. She glanced at the clock on the wall, sighing - "We have to get to class, guys," she told the group, tapping the table.

Kris raised his eyebrows at this advice, nodding. "You know, that might work, Travis," he responded with a shrug, tilting his head to the side. "Just one question - if you don't want to go with any of the girls that are asking you, well, why don't you ask somebody yourself?"

"ugh, great," kenndalyn sighed. "the last thing i want to do is go to school."

"well, i'm not sure if the girl i want to ask will want to go with me," travis said, taking a quick glance at brooke. "i'm just going to wait a little bit."

Brooke let out another small laugh. "I know, right?" she responded, a small grin playing on her lips. She shrugged, swinging her bag over her shoulder and getting up from the table. "You done with that?" she asked Kenndalyn, gesturing to her cup.

Kris lifted an eyebrow, considering this. "You should ask her," he responded with a shrug, his eyes showing he was indifferent to the situation.

"oh, yeah," kenndalyn replied to brooke. "thanks brookie! so, should we head off to school now?"

"eh, i'm not so sure," travis said, looking down at his feet. he really liked brooke, but he wasn't sure if he should tell kris or not. "i don't think she'd want to go with me."

"That'd be a good idea," Brooke responded, flashing a smile in Kenndayln's direction. She slung her bag over her shoulder, throwing her cup away in the nearest garbage can.

Kris rolled his eyes, staring at him. "Now, tell me, what girl wouldn't want to go with you?" he asked with a chuckle, shaking his head.

kenndalyn smiled back. "boys, we have to go," she said. "i don't want to be late again & get caught up in detention. i had to practically beg to get the four of us out of it last time." she laughed.

travis laughed. "well, i'm just not sure if brooke would," travis responded softly to kris so brooke wouldn't hear him.

Brooke laughed to herself at the memory, grinning at Kenndalyn. She glanced down at the floor and then looked up at Travis, asking him, "Hey, Travis - what's your first class?"

Kris couldn't help but chuckle when Travis told him this. "My own sister? Really?" He lifted an eyebrow, shaking his head as he considered this.

Kenndalyn laughed again and rolled her eyes. "Yup, that would be us," she replied.

Travis looked up when he heard Brooke ask him a question. His cheeks got a little pink as he answered, "Oh, uh I think I have math first. What about you?"
He then whispered back to Kris, "Yes, really."

Kenndalyn let a little laugh escape and rolled her eyes as she smiled. She crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"Oh, nice," Travis responded with a smile as he turned back to Kris.
"What do you mean?" he asked him, a little bit confused.
