The lost Cat
I'll say it again, no comments please...
Cats, oh how they roam the night
how strange and majestic they can be
But with this one, it's not to be
for this one is alone.
It's mind was empty
it fur as dark as it's heart
It was broken,
it didn't take an expert to know that
To it's astonishment, it did see
A wolf, a bear, their faces of glee
Smiled down on this cat, and said
"Come join us, we'll have some fun."
The three were greatest of friends
it wasn't long before the cat was whole again
But soon the bear did leave
Leaving the cat and wolf alone
The cat and wolf
a bond they did form
but soon a fox, a vixen more like
came in on the group, eying the wolf
The fox was soon part of the group
hearts fluttered over the wolf's head
The fox said "all she wanted was a friend"
but they forgot the cat
The cat felt alone once more
but that was soon forgotten
For a female Coyote soon joined the group
And the group was larger than it had ever been
The coyote soon became a good friend of the cat
The two were a match to be made
They were equal to the two canines
Who seemed to be having as much fun as them.
The cat wanted to join the wolf once more
on his many escapades.
But the wolf said he was busy
"...the fox's coming today." he'd say
Soon, the vixen twisted the wolf's heart
She chose bite and mangle the cat
The cat yowled against this,
and the wolf took the fox's side.
Now he treads a barren wasteland
accompanied only by the coyote
He wonders, "Did she want to come,"
and "Why'd he take her side?"
Again, no comments please...
