Sell Your Soul


Such a loss
Such a crime
Sell your soul
For a silver dime

I thought that I could fall in love
Not knowing what it means
But living that one sided dream
Lent power to the storm
That raged and blustered
Beneath a sea of calm

So small
So naïve
Give it all away

My heart beats in time with death
The fear tingles in my every nerve, please, I ask, just hold me!
I take no solace here, the wrath of angels blinds my thoughts,
Be with me as I lose my way, be near, hold me for just one more day

For the tricks they have up their sleeves
Innocent eyes
Unmarked skin
A stormy night
To hide their forbidden sins

Fearfully
I screwed my mouth closed
And never said I love you
The bolts that held back the flood
Were strong
And more than passed that test
The raging maelstrom was contained
And now
The echo rings a deep and mournful note
Through a very empty place

Madness in your heart
And insanity spilling from your lips
I'm sorry I couldn't save you
From the cruelty they used for kicks

All the ghosts
Seem to raise from the dead
From the moat
From the gibbet
From the graves
From everywhere

You let it all go
And they let you out
Now here you stand
You don't remember what life was about

I rest my head
On tired arms
And clasp my hands together
I fear with all my heart
The mass of clouds that darken the horizon
And as the rain begins to fall
Upon my up turned face
I know this storm will tear me apart
Again

applause Another masterpiece by the brilliant Crystal Aura! ^u^ Such brilliant imagery. It reminds me of Bree and Rocus, oddly enough...

And I really, really like this:

Ahaha, sorry. I will, I will... Just had to put the lasagna in the oven, is all.
(Because it totally took me like 3 hours to do that... Actually, I was too busy wishing I was sad but actually giggling like a fangirl and singing Japanese songs. It's really a tragic day for me though, okay!? T.T)
