Hear Me Out: I Love You.

Though you may not know
Because you’re as blind as a bat
I’ve tried to make it obvious
I like you more than that.

Why don’t you open your eyes?
And wake up to my call
Listen a bit harder
When I say I love you more than all.

Open your ears up to my voice
And listen good and clear
That I love you more than anything
I love you much, my dear.

Lean in a little closer.
Please listen to me speak.
I couldn’t be away from you
Not even for a week.

So, listen up my love
And listen to be say
I’ll love you for ever && ever
Until my very last day.

Uncertain

Into an uncertain future
Your heart flutters inside you
You wonder if the consequences are worse
You don’t know what to do

Into an already created past
Your heart stays steady
You wonder if you should do this instead
Although you’ve done it already

Should I take a chance?
Should I give it a try?
Should I take a risk?
It’s either do or die

You’ve got two choices
Let’s take a dive
You either die
Or feel alive

Go into the familiar cave
Jump off the mountain side
What will you do?
Cower, or say you at least tried

You have a big decision
One that’s worth thinking about
Now it’s your choice
You need to make your own route

DOG.

My tongue lolls out of my mouth
Spit streaming from the south
Snot flying out of my nose
Oh no, there it goes!

Tail wagging with the wind
Hitting people in their shins

Fur golden in the bright sun
I’m shedding all over everyone!

Oh boy, this day sure is FUN!

The Race in the Sahara

The predator sits
Golden fur
Coal black spots
Bright amber eyes spy its prey

Slinking, silent, sneaky
Spotted golden coat blending with the grass
Eyes locked on the unfortunate creature

The prey grazes
Light tan coat
Underbelly streaked with white
Its ears flick up, sensing danger stalking its way through the grass

With a glorious leap, the predator bounds from the concealing grasses
The startled yip, the more elite creature begins to run
Both animals streak across the Sahara
The race has begun

The predator sprints towards the animal that will satisfy its hunger
Drool streams out of its mouth as it runs, anticipating dinner
Sprinting behind the creature, opening its jaw to show horrifying canines
It runs, motivated by the reward

The prey sprints away from death’s jaws
It bounds, feeling the breath of the terrifying predator
It sprints, stricken with fear of what might happen if it doesn’t hurry
It leaps, but not fast enough

The light tan coat drops to the ground
Heart pounding, wriggling around
But to no avail
The last thing the poor creature hears is the pleasured purr of the predator

The race is over.

I wonder if I am good enough
I hear the rhythmic beat of a bird’s wings
I see my stories being published

I am creative and undefined

I pretend I’m okay when I’m not
I feel rain washing me away
I touch each and every raindrop
I worry about others in need
I cry when I see someone else in pain

I am creative and undefined

I understand that not everyone can be open-minded
I say you are wrong
I dream that I am free-falling
I try hard in class
I hope I stay true to myself.
