The Twilight Saga; Chapter 3; Something Is Stirring

"Oh, um... I 'dunno!" Hailey replied with a giggle, wriggling around in Jasper's arms again. "Jaspy, can ya put me down?" She asked him politely. She wouldn't hop out of his arms because she was only four feet-- and Jasper, well, he was tall.

Hailey nodded, "Yup yup yup!" She replied happily.

I put Hailey down at Amanda's feet, and she ruffled her hair. "Vampires are old." Amanda giggled and kissed my cheek.

"Okay. Jasper, you know where they are." He lifted me up in his arms while I held Hailey, and began to run.
I put Hailey down gently, and knocked on the door.

Hailey giggled. "Are there older vampires?" She asked curiously, her eyes large.

"Hello!" Jodi greeted happily as she opened the door. And yes, I said happily. Jodi rarely showed her happiness except for today. "Amaya will be very happy to see you guys." She grinned, holding the door open for them.

(Has Leach kissed her yet? xD)

"Yes, sweetheart. The Voultri are about a thousand years old."

I smiled. "You seem... peppy." I giggled. "Have you met Hailey yet?"

"Ew. One thousand years is too old." Hailey wrinkled her nose, shaking her head a little. Of course this was only her opinion, I'm sure others had different views.

Jodi smiled down at the little one, who was currently hiding behind Jasper and Amanda's legs in a shy manner. "No, I haven't." She replied, "You'll get to meet everyone soon." She smiled, and held the door open for them.

"Don't tell them that." I giggled and kissed her head. (This is going, like, no where. xD)

"Come on, sweetheart." I lifted her into my arms. "You get to meet everyone too."

Jodi walked into the living room, calling all of the vampires--and one human, Cassandra-- by name. As their names were called, they appeared in random areas of the room.

(Um. Ooh! Let's do a Voultri RP with Jane and Aro!)

I sat Hailey on my lap and motioned Cassandra to sit by me on the couch. "Cass, this is Hailey." I smiled.

Cassandra smiled at the little one kindly, brushing part of her bangs away from her eyes. "Hello." She greeted her.

"Hi!" Hailey chirped. "Are you the one that snogs with Alec?"

Cassandra turned pink.

"Hailey!" I scolded. "You don't ask people that!" But I couldn't help but laugh. "Sorry... we haven't taought her personal questions yet." Jasper chuckled.

Hailey blushed, covering her mouth with her hands. "Sorry." She squeaked instantly, although sounding sincere, too.

Cassandra giggled, "It's perfectly alright."

"She learned what snogging was from Toby this morning." I explained. "When I told her about the Shovel of Doom and Pitchfork of Awesomeness snogging in a closet and you blogging about it."

"Patience, Jane. Remember; they're not the ones we're currently after, no?" Came Aro's calm and feathery voice as he appeared beside her.

Cassandra blushed even more, "That sounds... interesting." She grinned, glancing back at Sally, who was currently scolding Toby for telling a young one such as Hailey what snogging was.

"Who else are we after?" I asked.

"Sally, Toby's answer was kissing. He was saving Hailey from having to know whatever Hayden was going to tell her." I called, giggling.

[Fine. xP]

"That little human girl escaped with my daughter." Maryann's voice sounded as she leaned against a tree. "I knew I should have cut the ungrateful little one's heart out to begin with."

"Our target is not yet clear." Aro replied vaguely, and he continued walking.

"Oh, thank you." Sally smiled sweetly, patting Toby on the top of his head in a gentle and motherly way. "Hayden!" She called, disappearing up the steps in a blur.

Hailey began giggling uncontrollably, the lights starting to flicker.

"I'm sure I'll need to step in before the lights go out." Came Leach's voice as he appeared standing beside Hailey and Amanda. The lights quickly returned to normal, and Hailey's giggles continued.

"Stop worrying about your little daughter, Maryann, and focus." I snapped. "We can get both of them back and more. Where did William get off to?"

"Well, my target is my brother and his stupid little human girlfriend."

"You could say 'Thank you'." I teased, ruffling Hailey's hair. "Gosh, that comes in handy. Hey Leach." I grinned. "Hayden told me something this morning at my hou- oops."

(Sally's gonna get so mad at them. xD)

"I'm not worrying, I'm venting. Actually, I'm far from worrying, I'm plotting." Maryann replied defiantly, one eyebrow raising slightly. "He went off somewhere." She replied vaguely.

"Calm yourself, Jane. Doesn't it make you feel better to know that he can no longer be around her without experiencing the temptation?"

Leach tilted his head curiously. "Told you what?" He asked her curiously, glancing at Hayden with one eyebrow slightly raised.

"Well, vent where I can't hear it." I snapped. "We have work to do."

"Nothing...." I suddenly becaem very interested in Hailey's hair. I leaned my head against Jasper gently while stroking her hair.

Stephanie let out a laugh. "Well . . . not the Jacob that hangs around you guys. I have my own Jacob, a clone of him, that I made in the first place just because I wanted my own. But I was stupid enough to totally blow him off and get married to Edward instead . . ." Pressing her lips together for a moment, she shook her head. "I haven't seen Jacob in months now. And I realized how stupid I was to marry Edward . . . he's just got problems . . . but Jacob was always perfect. So I can't even go to tell him I'm sorry, because he won't answer my phone calls and probably hates my guts. I'm just done trying." Her hands tightened on the wheel ever so slightly.

Jacob grinned at the toddler, reaching down to ruffle his hair. It was hard to picture him as ever being a werewolf like he or Chloe . . . he sure hoped Christopher would never join them. "Hey there, Chris. Is Chloe here?" He glanced into the house as he said that, obviously searching for her. "I didn't wake anybody up, did I?"

"Work where you can't hear my venting." Maryann replied calmly, shrugging a little.

Aro, for the time being, was ignoring her. He spotted Jasper, Hailey, and Amanda [wherever they were xD]. "Look at what we have here..."

Sally returned from the kitchen, dragging Hayden [she had him by the ear] along with her. She calmly released the edge of his ear, and returned to her place beside John.

"Ow!" Hayden mouthed, rubbing his ear.

Christopher dragged Jacob inside, and closed the door behind him. "Nope. Me and momma were awake for a loooong time, but Chloe's still sleepin. I just woke her up, I think..." He smiled guiltily.
