Innocence is Forgiven

Alex had been sitting on the couch after he put Hannah to bed.

"Here's your stuff." I threw it on his lap and set the keys down on the counter. "Ok, so we have a 9 o'clock performance tonight in Madison Sqaure Garden. Then tommorow we're visiting Paris with three tickets in first class for the rest of the week. How are you enjoying this, Alex?"

"Eh, thank you. And pretty well, I guess. How are you about it?"

"I dislike it. I am only doing this to get out of watching football."

"Uh-huh..."

"We better leave. It's 8:15......we have to get there early. I've called up Alyssa and she should be here soon. We won't be back until...midnight."

"Ah, ok. I'll go get Hannah."

"No, don't. The last thing I need is my first grey hair."

"..All right then..."

"Just get in the car and we'll be there without a word to eachother."

"What's wrong with you?"

"Stress. Everything is just so stressful. I'm not in the mood anymore."

"It's not my fault. So don't take it out on me."

"It's either you or myself. Which would you rather?"

"Neither!"

"I'll be in the room. You can go by yourself tonight to the performance."

"Fine! I will."

"Then go! Slit my throat and stab me in the back while you're at it!"

[[By the way, she's on some medication due to like....er.......things that happen in the body. So she's pretty random.]]

(Ok then.)

"Please, like I'd do that!" Alex left without another word.

"Good!" I snapped back, rolling my eyes.

Alex went to his concert, and was pretty ticked during the whole thing.

"Hannah, why do you think your father does this?" I cooed to her.
