♥Playing Pretend♥

Kathy looked through some of the other books.

The guys approached Jesse, and said, "What's a scrawny boy like you doin' in a town like this."
Jesse shrugged, and said, "What's a gang 'a boys liek you tryin' to play tough?"
Then they got really angry, and started saying more vile things to Jesse.
Jesse kept retaliating.
Then one of the guys went to throw a punch, and jesse grabbed their wrist, and twisted it, quickly, until there was a small cracking sound. "Anyone else wanna play a game?"

While all that happened outside, Kathy just kept reading.

(Whoa... She reads like me... Just doesn't pay attention to the rest of life...........)


The other guys started into move in on Jesse. Jesse started off by launching them all back. Then fighting broke out. It was rather interesting to watch bigger, stronger looking guys getting beat up, by a smaller, weaker looking guy. Though Jesse wasn't weak looking.
(He just wears baggy clothes at times... Like now.! XD
I'm bored...)

At last, Kathy picked three books & went to pay for them.

Jesse kept gettung lunged at, and tackled, but either way he'd win. Finally one of the guys went to punch him in the face, so he grabbed their wrist, and bit into it. The blood tasted good. He lost control, and kept drinking the blood.

Kathy walked outside, then after taking a look around, she saw Jesse.
He was biting into someone's wrist & drinking their blood. Oh shoot!

Jesse let the man drop. He scowled.

She walked towards Jesse, a worried look on her face & not paying attention to the other guys, " What the heck were you doing?! "

"Playing their game..." he said, noticing one guy, still concious, and then he shifted into a wolf. "Werewolf!" Jesse hissed, and then leapt at him.

" What the- what the heck is going on?! " Kathy said, extremely confused & in shock. She didn't know what to do.

Jesse walked over to Kathy, quickly. He looked at her, eyes blood red. It meant danger, and anger. It happened when around werewolves, or thirsty. He was angry. "Kathy, listen. That's a werewolf, I'm a vampire. I need you toget out of here, or hide... Now. Soon. Quickly." he said, his voice urgent, gruff, and pleading.

Kathy nodded & began to walk out of there quickly, a bit freaked out. She walked back to the bookstore 'cause it was the only place she could think of.

Jesse and the werewolf started fighting. But then they caught sound of something highpitched. The wolf ran off first, but Jesse dropped. Of course, one person always knew about vampires. Their hearing was impecible. Jesse was in pain.

Kathy was sitting worriedly on the couch. One of the girls who worked there must have noticed, because she asked her what was wrong. However, she just told her it was nothing. A bit later, Kathy just couldn't stand being there anymore & walked towards were Jesse had been earlier. She saw him, he looked like he was in pain. She bit her lip, " What happened?? "

Jesse was holding his hands over is ears. He sat up, and looked at her, eyes black. "Sounds. Highpitch... You can't hearing it..."

" Well, what's wrong with it? " she asked, " Come on, if it bothers you, just move. " she said.

"Cant.." he said. e trd,but itidnt really work. He was able to crawl over to another guy, and drink his blood somewhat. "Sort of better." he said, being able to stand. He pulled his hood up.

She frowned, not really liking it when he drank someone else's blood. It was just sort of disgusting to her. But she just shrugged it off.

He accidently read her thoughts. "Get used to it..." he muttered. "Sorry... I read minds..."

" What - what are you talking about? " Kathy asked, a bit surprised. " And... okay. "

"THe drinking of the blood. It gross... But, I'm usually better about it..." he said.

" Oh... okay, sure. " she said. " It's just - " she shrugged.

"What?" he asked, turning his attention to her, now. He was rady to listen. "I have many years to listen..."

" Mm... I don't have that many to talk, " she said, " But it's nothing. Just forget about it. " she shrugged.
