____ padded out, blinking warily. He/she knew this was something important, somehow. "Yes?"

(You know how the Pokemon trainers always go, "[name of Pokemon], I choose YOU!" And then they throw the Poke-ball forward (but keep it in their hand) and there's a flash of light and the Pokemon comes out. XD)

My tail twitched anxiously. "Well... there's this lion from the Makuu. Zeon. He keeps crossing the border."

((OMG. xD Wow.))

((Augh. I'm already failing. xD))
His/her eyes widened. The nerve of some lions . . . "Is he trying to attack, or just causing trouble?"

(Yeahh... I used to like Pokemon a lot when I was little. )

"Just causing trouble... so far."

"Hmm." He/she flicked his tail back and forth. "Well, we'll have to keep an eye on it over there. Let me know as soon as anything changes in his behavior, and for now, let's just make sure somebody checks over there at least three times daily.

"Okay." I dipped my head. "Thanks."

"Yeah," Dairka echoed.
The leader smiled, nodding. "I'll go out there and have a look myself," he/she said. "Nité, why don't you come along? Dairka, you can stay around camp and keep an eye on things for me until I'm back."

"All right," I agreed, only a twitching tail tip betraying my nervousness.

The leader padded off to check that then, and Dairka nervously went to sit by the camp's entrance.

I followed the leader.

(He... It took me like thirty seconds to figure out why that sounds so familiar. XD)

When they got to the spot where Zeon had been coming across the border, the leader noticed it immediately. Wrinkling his/her nose, he/she said, "You're right. Rather fresh scent, too."
Meanwhile, Dairka's ears were laid back as she nervously scanned her lonely surroundings.

I'd been about to round the crest of one of the hills that ringed the watering hole at the border, but crouched down quickly as I noticed Nité and the Brei's leader scenting the border. I hissed in annoyance. How dare those two ungrateful lionesses tell on me?

(Jerk. XD)

Suddenly, the scent of the same lion blew into the leader's face. His eyes widened, and instantly, his teeth bared. "I can smell him," he spat.

My fur began bristling. But he wouldn't dare come and talk to me with the leader right here, would he?

The leader was, obviously, expecting the lion to come out. His eyes angry, he lifted his tail in the air and let the tip flick back and forth as he waited. This problem needed to get taken care of.

The leader let out a low growl of warning. "Hello," he said, altogether not very courteously. This other lion was sure to realize that, especially taking into account the narrowed eyes and stiff tail the leader had.

The leader wasn't falling for it - he cut right to the chase. "You've been trespassing on the Brei's territory."

"Don't lie to me. I can smell your scent all over."

"Don't test me," the leader snarled. "I want the truth, and I want it now, or you can bet I'll go onto your territory right now and have a word with Toryn."

"Just because your pride is thirsting for new warriors doesn't give you the right to trespass on the Brei's territory!" he snapped in return.
