"Um. Who are you?" she asked finally. "I'm Dairka."

"Nité. Nice to meet you."

Dairka nodded once. "You too. Have you been here long?"

"A while. What about you?"

She shrugged. "Not that long," was her simple answer. Dairka had actually just joined within the last few days, and so she was obviously a new member. But she wasn't really sure she wanted to admit that. Even though Nité probably could figure it out, if she'd been here longer.

"Oh," was all I could think of to say.

She grinned, humored. "So, how many other members are there in the pride? Besides us, I mean."

I shrugged. "I dunno. Quite a few, I suppose."

She chuckled. "Have you met any of them?"

"Some."

"Ah. I haven't."

"Oh. You probably should."

She grinned, shuffling her paws. "Yeah, I probably should. But at least I met you. That's a start, right?"

"Yup," I agreed.

Dairka laughed.

((This would be so much easier if one of us had a guy lion there - oooh. They should meet a male from another pride, find out they're both his daughters, but he's like twisted so he tries threatening them into coming to the pride to live with him, but they won't, so he gets violent.))
