"Wait, I don't have any money!!"
Came the scared voice, as two men had a younger man pinned against a corner. It was in an ally, the last place anyone would help. Not even the cops cared, and I'm sure the voice could be heard throughout the town. The men held a knife to his throat and asked for the money one more time.

W set on a building above, his only escape down was the fire escape. He set there, just another shadow in the dark. A simple bird to the untrained eye. He watched, having just gotten there. He pulled out a toothpick and gently slipped it between his lips as his mask was pulled up. He sighed, he knew he couldn't resist easy justice. He slipped the box back in his pocket and pulled the mask down.
"You're going to wish that justice had found you, before I did."
W said coldly, his voice echoing across the ally. He laughed, and the men below seemed to tremble. His deep voice seemed like the devil as they peered through the darkness into the unknown. W popped his shoulder and then jumped down, sliding his hand on the edge of the fire escape. He kicked the ladder down on his way and slid down.

They heard a thud, and one of them stopped and put his knife toward the darkness. The young man run, fearing for his life. The thieves simply watched him go, one of them trying to run after him. He was quickly stopped by a shot in the dark. The other man dropped the knife in surprise and looked onto his brother questionably. He then saw what seemed to be a white wolf come from the darkness. It walked on two, and held a gun by it's side.

"Wh-wh-who are you?!" The trembling voice called, backing into the corner. Suddenly, the wolf walked closer to him, until the man was backed into the corner. The wolf then seemed to stop.

"Spare me plea-" He was suddenly caught off as a strong hand came from the coat and gripped his throat. The wolf figure held on until he felt breath fading into death. W let the man drop, and then kicked his dead body over to look at the face.

"The last sight you'll ever see..." He said, putting his gun in the holster then running off, back to the roof. He slid from roof-top to roof-top, until he had arrived at the orphanage. He slipped into the kitchen and ran to the bathroom. He took off the coat and mask and placed it in a bag he was carrying. He had forgotten to take his gun and holster off when he walked out and into the main lobby room.

Angel heard a light slapping noise as the notebook hit the ground and turned, the black oil pastel still in her hand. Her eyes quickly picked out something that she was positive hadn't been there before, though the room was still empty other than her: A slim black notebook, facedown on the ground. She set down her pastel and wiped her fingers on her jeans once again, eyeing the book suspiciously. Then she shrugged and, forgoing caution, leaned over and picked it up. She flipped it over, looking at the cover, which was plain and black except for silver lettering reading Death Note scrawled on the cover. She glanced up to check the room once again as she opened it, wanting to see what the book had to say, but instead saw something she had not expected to see at all.

Javed watched as she picked it up and he knew he was in trouble then. Not only would he have to wait for a very long time to get it back, he would have to explain to the boss once he got back. He sighed, and then she looked at him and her eyes seemed to meet his figure, he knew that she saw him. He glanced around, thinking of what to do.
"Ummm, hi..."
He said, scratching his horn. His tail flicked back and forth and his wings folded back into his body. He knew that he would have to stay on earth now. How could he not watch? He would get bored if he didn't watch. He sighed, and his horn hit the top of the ceiling. He closed one eye in discomfort and set down. He hated his horns getting in the way.

Angel stumbled backwards, her eyes wide with shock. "Who - who are you?" she whispered, her brilliant blue gaze fixed on the horrifying apparition in front of her. "W - what do you want from me?" Her voice trembled slightly, though she mostly had it under control. Panic rose in her chest but she shoved it back down deep inside, locking it away.

The book, some tiny, somehow still rational part of her whispered in the back of her mind. It's connected to the book. Drop the book.

She pried her frozen fingers away from the notebook's cover and let it fall to the floor, but the creature did not disappear.

Javed put his hand to his jaw and pulled it down in fright, as she dropped the book. He dove onto the floor and caught it, then carefully set it in front of her. His tail flicked and he corrected his position until he was leaning on his knee. He set there and looked up at her. Her eyes were beautiful, unlike his black and red eyes. He tilted his head as she seemed to not know who or what he was. He stood up and scratched his head. How could she not know?
"I'm a shinigami, and thats my deathnote. Or at least it vas till it touched earth."

He said, trying his best to sound scary and dark, but his clumsy nature almost wiped that personality clean. He wasn't like most shinigami, he had sold his soul for a different reason.

Javed looked on questioning. How could she not know about kira's shinigami and all the other shinigami?

He said, now not even trying to sound scary. He was more of bored and annoyed by her reaction. He crossed his arms and waited for her to read.

Angel very slowly knelt down to retrieve the Death Note and with trembling fingers opened to the first page. She began to read, scared of what she would find written there.

The human whose name is written in this note shall die.

Her breath caught in her throat and her gaze flicked back up to the... whatchimacallit thing, the Shimigani or whatever it was called. "I..." She swallowed hard. "If I read further... will I find my own name?"

"Of course not! You write other people's names and they die. You're name isn't written there. However, one day, according to agreement.....I'll have to write your name in my note."

Javed said, a bit sad that he had to be the finale one to kill her. He looked out the window, as though looking for peace. However, the shinigami found none.

She clutched the Death Note to her chest, though it was the cause of this, just for something to hold on to, as if it could anchor her to reality, which seemed to be shifting and changing around her. warning to Yushito. If that's how she thought, that's

thought the deaths of all evil beings would bring
world peace, but of course it didn't, as that only
forced more evil upon the people and there was
warfare between the believers of the old days
and those of the Kira era. Now people may think
the ways of Katsu would fix everything, but there
are still people who believe in Kira, and then
there would be some arguments over that, not
to mention something will probably come up
amongst the various Kami as for the beginning
of Life Notes falling to the mortal world. Last
she checked her history books such had never
happened before.

any deaths she could reverse. Right now, though, Kira
wasn't being very active. No criminals had died for quite
a bit of time. She wondered what had happened to him.
Has he died?
She thought, and considered it. Had Kira's shinigami decided
that Kira's time was up, or was Kira just inactive? She couldn't
know for sure yet.

of a girl really scared off all of the Kira in the world?
As an Ikigami she knew all too well there weren't a
mere quantity of two Death Notes in the world. No,
there were probably thirteen on Earth by now, and
anywhere between half and most of them were in
use, surely. So why wouldn't anyone be dying of anyt-
hing but old age? What a strange situation.

"You would think the Kira in the world would begin
killing as mad as rabbits at the idea that there was
a life force working against them," she noted aloud.
"There's no reason not to. If I had a Death Note, I
would probably be writing down as many names as
I could find off the internet and pray that one of the
names I wrote would be the one opposing me. That
may sound foolish, but anyone that bothers to pick
up one is just that." Alyara chuckled, rather
fond of her little joke. She could have gone on for
ages and ages as to what she would do in the situ-
ation, but figured it would bore her or annoy her, so
she chose not to.

everyone thinks that I forgot...

I really want to forget,

Lune heaved a broken sigh, slouching against the icy brick of a 4 star Italian restaurant. Countless people passed him, some even daring to throw a second glance, but none came over to him. There were no mobs of fangirls anymore. It was just...him. It made the reality all the more believable.

"Chikusho..." he murmured under his breath, reflecting numbly over the talk he just had with his manager. She was right. I'm bankrupt.

He hadn't thought his sales were down that bad. Sure, they sloped a bit when that new heartthrob came around... But he didn't think things would hit this hard and this fast. He always figured he had loyal fans that were in love with him... But just like that, they were gone.

It all started when the vision came. It was the eve of his concert only weeks ago. He was singing his number one song Bow Down when a massive wave of pain washed over him. It was a combination of guilt and betrayal and it seemed to have come out of nowhere. He was pretty sure he saw something too, like a flashback. But that would be insane. People only got flashbacks out of the blue in movies, right? Besides, he couldn't even remember what it was. The point was that it wrecked the concert, and his sales have been continuously plummeting ever since.

He slammed his head against the wall in frustration, wishing he could scream. What will I do? he thought, panic tearing through his chest. His house would have to be claimed and he cut off his family a long time ago... Would he have to be homeless?

Exhaling steadily, he attempted to calm himself. He stood up shakily, brushing the dirt off of his designer suit.
I'm still king around here. I've just fallen down for a bit... I can find a way to raise to the top again.

Yushito turned around in her swivel chair, facing Alyara.
"I have a theory...but it's probably not true. Maybe a.....five in a
hundred chance. I've been thinking....do you think Kira's dead?"
The question scrambled through her lips quickly, so it sounded more like
"DoyathinKiradead?" She sighed, and then repeated the question again, and
slower.

Alyara sat where she was and listened to Yushito
attentively, though her moment of hyperactively
rushed words caught the Ikigami by surprise. She
blinked and made a noise of confusion, which then
lead to Katsu's repeat. "Oh," she said with new und-
erstanding. "Well, the original surely is, but I already
told you that," Alyara replied with a nod. "But hey,
it's not like they're all dead. Heck, there were prob-
ably at least four of them worldwide before I had to
leave!" She gave a "hmph" of disgust at the thought.
Even though Alyara envied them for receiving the
smarter humans of the bunch, it still revolted her
how dimwitted they were along with other things.
Then again, what proof did she have of the whole
thing on having smarter clients? This was a first
timer ever. And Alyara did not like it, not one bit.

rushed words caught the Ikigami by surprise. She
blinked and made a noise of confusion, which then
lead to Katsu's repeat. "Oh," she said with new und-
erstanding. "Well, the original surely is, but I already
told you that," Alyara replied with a nod. "But hey,
it's not like they're all dead. Heck, there were prob-
ably at least four of them worldwide before I had to
leave!" She gave a "hmph" of disgust at the thought.
Even though Alyara envied them for receiving the
smarter humans of the bunch, it still revolted her
how dimwitted they were along with other things.
Then again, what proof did she have of the whole
thing on having smarter clients? This was a first
timer ever. And Alyara did not like it, not one bit.

Yushito sighed, and looked at Alyara.
"I'm getting the feeling that you really dislike me. Why?"
She looked up at the Ikigami, and wondered how to get Alyara to like her.
A gift? No. An offering of peace? No. What do Ikigami like?
She thought frustratedly. Yushito wished that being Katsu didn't take up as
much time, because she could be spending that time thinking of things to pl-
ease Alyara.

Alyara was lost in her thoughts for a few seconds
longer about how much the Shinigami kind almost
made her gag—heck, anything with so much viole-
nce and sinister energy in themselves were things
Alyara just couldn't tolerate. Like Shinigami. And
those bloody humans. Oh, Lord, humans were sick.

Yushito's voice took a detour before processing to
the Ikigami's brain. Her indigo eyes dropped down.
"Hm?" she hummed. "Not you specifically, I can't say
that, but ..." Alyara thought for a moment. How
should she word this? "Let's put it this way. I only
bring back those I think are worthy of a second shot
at life." One dark talon pointed over at the pale
notebook on Katsu's desk. "That's pretty much the
reason why there shouldn't have been very many,
if any, names in there when you first looked inside."
With another nod the Ikigami set her purple claw
down and waited patiently for a response of a sort.
