"We have to drive there?!" asked Heather.

Heather pulled the door open, and jumped into the van - it had two rows of seatbelt-less cushions.

Heather elbowed him - somewhat gently - "Get used to it."
Alex started the engine, and they rumbled to a rough start. it was rocky. And bumpy. And Heather hit against stuff as they moved along, which proved rather painful.
