Well, it's more of a passage, anyway.
"Your theme is good, as are your sentences. Your characters are so ruddy with life they practically need birth certificates. The plot you've mapped out for them is grand, simple and gripping. You've done your research, gathering the facts; historical, social, climatic, culinary--which will give your story its feel of authenticity. The dialogue zips along, crackling with tension. The descriptions burst with colour, contrast and telling detail. Really, your story can only be great. But it all adds up to nothing. In spite of the obvious, shining promise of it, there comes a moment when you realize that the whisper that has been pestering you all along from the back of your mind is speaking the flat, awful truth: it won't work. An element is missing, that spark that brings to life a real story, regardless of whether the history or the food is right. Your story is emotionally dead, that's the crux of it. The discovery is something soul-destroying, I tell you. It leaves you with an aching hunger."

I think I'm ready for finals... At least, I hope so... It would suck if I'm completely mis-judging the entire situation with my finals, and I ended up failing. Plausible, but not favorable.
In other news, I have really bad sunburn on my shoulders. And by really bad, I mean excruciatingly painful/cancer-causing. Is sunburn supposed to be itchy? Because mine is? Lesse... Google says that it's normal, and google never lies. At least, not usually...
And, I'm staying up. Supposed to be sleeping right now. Yeah, that's happening. The madre and I had a fight---and she just came and told me to go to bed. Thanks, Karma. Always. Always.
Well, no questions today, but that piece above was really interesting. It's from the "forward" section from a book called Life of Pi that I started after finals today. Czech it out?

Life of Pi is my summer reading book next year...I've heard it's good, is it?
Anyway, don't sweat it. I didn't study for any (most) of my finals, and I passed all of them.....(because technically if it's above 77 it's considered proficient....)
Anyway, I liked that little excerpt you had under "poem" of the day. It was pretty cool.

Life of Pi sounds really interesting! :3 I will write it down on my list for the next time I go to the library.
Good luck with your finals! ^^ I'm sure you'll do great.

@newms - Yeah, it's pretty good. Like, it's about a boy in a boat with a tiger.
@ado - I think I did well on my finals...
BY THE WAY - If any of you can figure out what's up with that insane code, be my guest and tell me whats wrong... I stared at it for hours, and I cannot figure it out...

That's an interesting passage there ... Definitely makes me want to check out Life of Pi whenever I get the chance. ^^ Hm, a passage that speaks more on literary terms when the title of the book hints at math. That makes me want to read it more.
You'll do fine on your finals. I didn't study at all on my algebra or Spanish finals, and I respectively got 77.7% and 96%, so surely you'll be able to do similarly. (Though those were the only finals I had to take...)
Oh, and about the coding, when I previewed after some tweaking the following worked out properly.
Hope this helps. Aaaaaaaand that I don't sound like an annoying geek.

No worries. I was just confused because I copied, and pasted my template like normal, and then... it didn't work. Thanks though.
Edit: I tried, it didn't work... Maybe the thread is just glitchy.

You're welcome ... for my faulty attempt. xD
Yeah, I just looked at the main post and noticed the tags had flip flopped themselves again, but when I copy-pasted the blog into the Quick Reply box and previewed again it worked fine. Probably just the blog. Plus for the important parts your new blog looks fine.
