Beanbag shook herself, water droplets splaying from her pelt. "Brrrr!" she shivered.

Jay smiled and licked her pup's ears.

Dapple and Lupus had both just been bathed. They shook the water from their fur.

Thomas watched.

Jay pushed her muzzle into Beanbag's fur, then left to curl up on her dog mat.

Beanbag shook the rest of the water, then hopped up onto the couch.

Libby looked down from her magazine at the two dogs.

I then brought the pups and Thomas inside.

Thomas admired the many ribbons the pups had won throughout their new show career.

Libby looked back to her magazine.

Jay fell asleep.

Beanbag perked her ears, listening.

Dapple ran to the window and started barking.

Libby heard a dog barking distantly. She went onto the porch and looked at Liz's house. She smiled.

Beanbag ran outside from the open door. She barked, then ran towards the street, stopping as a car went by. She then ran to the other side of the road over to Liz's house window. She barked at Dapple, pressing her nose to the window.

Dapple barked and wagged her tail, panting.

Beanbag whined and scratched at the window.

Libby ran across the street and attempted to grab Beanbag to carry her back to the house.

Beanbag slipped through Libby's arms.

I opened the door.
Dapple rushed out to meet Beanbag.

Beanbag barked at Dapple, sniffing her.

Libby stood up straight. "Hi," she breathed.

Dapple continued to sniff Beanbag.

"Hi," I giggled.

Beanbag growled playfully, scampering around the yard.

Libby smiled. "What's new?"

"Nothing," I replied.

Dapple chased her. Lupus darted out and joined the chase.

Beanbag barked, running in circles, then jumping over Lupus and into the garden.

Lupus and Beanbag followed.

Thomas was close behind.

Jay came bounding from the house, wagging her tail.

Beanbag started digging up the garden dirt, panting.

Dapple whined. "I wouldn't do that if I were you..."

"Why..." Beanbag sighed, padding over to Dapple.

"My owner really likes her garden...if you dig it up she'll be mad..."
