"Well, she'll probably be a pit bull. My owner really likes pure bred puppies. And no, if she's here, I don't know. If she ends up breeding me to a female in our kennel, it'll probably be Heather, a champion. She's way older than me, though."

"Oh," Jay said again, looking at her paws. "Libby's setting me up for breeding too. Now, in fact." She looked back at Libby, who was writing something down.
"I'm a bit nervous, actually," Jay said.

"Don't be," Thomas smiled. "I bet you'll get a good male, who's nice."

Jay smiled. "Thanks." Libby tugged her collar lightly. "Uh, bye, I guess." Libby led her away to the breeding room.

Thomas watched her leave. "Good luck!" he called, as I tied him up to a small post and went to check out the available females.

Libby looked through the husky males. Some were agressive, others looking bored, and some just happy. She sighed, and looked at a male. She nodded, picking him and leading him towards Bluejay. She turned and left, giving them some privacy.

"Hello, beauty," the male sneered. Bluejay whimpered and shrunk back.

I soon found a suitable female. She was pretty, a brown and white. She was sweet and a bit energetic, but she had good stats and was a junior pro novice in the ring. I decided to choose her and paid the owner the breeding fee. I untied Thomas and led him and the female to the breeding room and left them to give them a bit of privacy.

The male advanced on her.

After the breeding, I took Thomas out and waited for Libby and Bluejay.

Thomas sighed. The breeding itself had went well, but that's not what he was worrying about. He was waiting for Bluejay.

Libby returned a while later, walking Bluejay. Jay was trembling slightly, but tried not to show it.

Thomas noticed Bluejay and dragged Liz over. "Bluejay! How'd it go? Are you okay?" he asked, noticing her fear-scent.

"Hi. It went....ok. I'm fine." Jay swallowed and followed Libby, walking along the street.

"You don't seem fine. Did anything bad happen?"

"Uh....not really the male was just....rude."

"Oh." Thomas licked her cheek in a friendly way. "Okay. See you then." I led Thomas in the direction of home. [Timeskip to after the puppies are born?]

Jay closed her eyes. It was finished. The husky puppies were there, squealing and suckling.

I had taken Thomas to the owner of the female's house to see the puppies. "There's the one I want," I said, pointing to a brindle and white female laying beside the mother. Thomas wagged his tail at the puppies.

Libby picked up a tan and white pup. "This one's staying. The others will have to be sold."

After a while, I went over to Libby's to see the puppies. I knocked on the door. Thomas sprang after me, exited.

Jay lifted her head and barked softly.

Libby opened the door, still holding the puppy. "Hello!" She let them in.

Thomas went over to Bluejay. "They're so cute," he woofed.

I looked at the puppy in Libby's hands. "Is that the one you're keeping?"

"Thanks," Jay smiled.

"Yeah," Libby nodded, petting the pup.

Thomas's tail wagged. He grinned gently at her.

"It's cute." I smiled.
