2012 - The Story - Chapter 1: Normal Activities (I finished the chapter)

Prologue

She glanced back at the pale man. He snarled and pounced. She screamed
and another man jumped in front of her, taking the blow. She bent down
to him and was attacked by a second pale man. She growled at him,
suddenly becoming someone else.
She snarled, baring her sharp teeth, her eyes darting between them. She
circled the pale men, and their faces of anger turned to fear. She
hissed, and pounced.
The men roared with outrage and began clawing. Their strong hands
evened up the fight. Her long nails scratched down their faces, her
razor sharp teeth raking down their arms.
No blood spilled however. Such it is, in the only safe place on Earth.

Chapter 1
Normal Activities

Sara walked down the blank halls and passed a reinforced bullet-proof glass door. She risked a glance outside. Nothing. She sighed in relief. After the incident where a blood splatter had appeared, she had been a bit out of normality.
Sara returned to her task. She walked towards her ectoplasm room, a tray with liquid food and nutrients in her hand. She could not remember her days as one, but she believed that they must have been pleasant. All she did was sit in a gel tube and wait to grow out of it. Except for when the blood was extracted for sampling. That must hurt.
She shivered at the thought and pushed open the green-ish door. She looked over the familiar giant gel tubes with growing babies. She smiled at one. Sam, she had gotten to name him. She made sure to give him a bit extra liquid.
Sara 'fed' all the other ectoplasms, and moved on to the sampling process. She hated this part. She took the blood from the pouch where it collected from each ectoplasm, and sighed. On Sam's she noticed a difference. His blood was a different color. It was darker. More black than red. Sara's brow knit in confusion, but she shrugged it off. She continued to collect the blood pouches, checking each one. Once Saiko had pricked one and it had spilled. Boy, did he get in trouble for that.
Sara wrote the names of the ectoplasms on each bag of blood and hurried to the creators' room. One of the guards nodded at her and opened the door. She bowed. and hurried in quickly.
She stopped in front of her creator, Spaichlo Sanburg. She got down on one knee, handing him his blood bags.
"Thank you, Sara." He said, smiling at her. His eyes flicked towards the blood bags. For a second, Sara thought that the flashed red. She decided that was silly and shrugged it off.
There was a noise as someone opened the door. Sara's friend, Snaquai, hurried in.
"Oh, Spaichlo I'm so so so so sorry I'm late I didn't mean to-" She blubbered, and stopped when she saw Sara. Sara's eyes grew wide and both pairs of eyes moved to their creator.
Spaichlo's eyes narrowed. "Did you not see the notice, Snaquai? The times have switched, as you requested."
Sara looked at Snaquai. Her lips were pushed together tightly and her eyes were watering. It was a great dishonor to interrupt anything if it involved the creators.
"Sorry, Spaichlo." Snaquai whispered, her voice quivering.
"You are dismissed, Sara." Spaichlo said, gesturing to Sara. She quickly hurried out of the room. Her feet carried her to the room she shared with Snaquai. She flopped down onto her bed, kicking off her shoes. One of them landed perfectly, the other scuffed the wall. There was pretty much a million scuffs from her shoes, but neither of them cared.
Sara decided to visit the kitchen for some food. She got up and slipped her shoes back on. What a waste of taking them off. She walked to the kitchen, where none of the cooks were in. Sara shrugged and decided to get some food for herself.
Sara moved towards the counter with snacks, and stopped. She could feel waves coming off of something behind her.
She turned, and her eyes bulged and her mouth dropped open in horror.
There was a frozen body in front of her.
