Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
The Daily Prophet
1/26 - Open; post, Arielle
You glance around King’s Cross excitedly. You are a witch or wizard, attending Hogwarts. You slowly start to push your trolley, gaining speed, you hurl for the wall of Platform Nine. Opening your eyes you see the magenta Hogwarts Express in front of you, and many of your future classmates. You board, the train leaves, you’re going to Hogwarts.

I entered the train with some of my friends. We all found a compartment with a guy in it that looked about our year. My friend Lanie leaned over and whispered in my ear that he was cute. I rolled my eyes and laughed. "So, what's your name?" I asked him.

"Really? That's so funny. I am also. Prefect, and a Ravenclaw," I smirked back at him. He was obviously pompous about the fact that he was Prefect, so how would he react when I'd told him that bit of news?

"Erm... well that's not really the right question to ask since you aren't in the Prefect's compartment either. Besides, in the owl they sent it said that they would come find us," I replied, keeping the smirk on my face.

"Besides, I told them I'd didn't want to come to the compartment; I dislike Slytherins and they obliged with my request. I'm going to be talking to the oldest Prefect at Hogwarts instead. Who sent the owl?"

I was pretty surprised by this. "What do you mean you don't have any friends?" I asked. "You have to have friends... everyone has friends or at least allies."

I nodded, "But you do at least have allies... right? Like people more powerful than you are that can protect you or be on your side during a fight?" He had to have some acquaintances that he liked a little bit at least...
