Lol. The first time I tried tuning my guitar, I broke a string. XD
It's cool that it came with an instructional DVD. I bet it'll be really helpful.

Wow. I bet it will be easier for you to pick up the basics after your research. Before I got mine, I researched good guitars, and I found a purple one that was electric AND acoustic. It was kind of expensive, and my parents weren't real into the whole idea of an electric guitar.

Yeah, I'm really hoping so. I mean, I knew basically how to use the tuner, and that it was buzzing because I needed to file the frets down, you know, stuff like that. It's great that you know all of that stuff - it will definetly come in handy (again). Yeah, I'd be way too afraid to try to do that...XD I think it was more the fact that my parents thought it would be too loud, and it was fine with me that they wanted a say in it, cause they did buy it for me.

I'd also like to suggest "yourguitarsage" on youtube. The guy is hilarious and has tons of songs that he teaches you to play indepthly. My Dad and me have been learning off of him for a few weeks.

I have a junior one, too. It's like a quater of the size my new guitar is now. XD
