I just realized earlier that I actually have a key for one of my songs. xD It took me picking out the melody on the guitar to realize it, though, and I was all "Cool!!"

On alot of music, there is a certant pattern like this /\.../\
..................................................................../...\/ and you can make the patterns like that and its like an triangle thing in exponets. And like, alot of lines, like one we looked at was like 5,7,5,7,8,7,8,7,8,10 and you add two, subtract two, +2, -2, +1,-1, +1, -1, +2.

What? I'm confused.

I tryed to make chords for Don't Look Back in Anger (An Oasis song.) and failed. 'Cause I only know the basic chords, and a couple minor chords.

Its...hard to explain. maybe I can get my teacher to email me the slides and then I can post them on here.

Haha, to be totally frank, my guitar still needs to be tuned... Want to take a look at it today, but first I must convince the Guitar Tuning Guru [my dad] to tune it for me.

I wrote a song utilizing three basic chords, Em, C, A, and G.

It's called "The Trees Are Alive". You can find the lyrics in the poem section.

That's one epic song. x3

You haven't even heard the tune. There's two verses, three choruses (including a double-chorus near the end) and a long bridge with like six sections. It's 6 minutes and 10 seconds.

Now I have. xD Still epic!! Especially the length.

I like long songs especially when they aren't long for overdone guitar soloes, but long areas of epic flowing melody with lyrics to match. And an occasional solo for the random different instruments.
