Nick looked up in surprise, who were these people?

A woman, and two men stood on the other side of the room. The woman, in her thirties, walked up to the glass window and spoke first.
"What are your names?" she asked, although something inside Yvonne told her that this woman already knew.

"Nicholas." Nick answered hesitantly, standing up and walking over to Yvonne.

(-le gasp!-)

Yvonne glanced at Nick, and then at the woman. If there was ever a time to act stupid, it was now.

"No English." she replied simply. For the first time in her life, Yvonne was glad she had her heavy French accent . . .

"Yeah. She doesn't speak anything but French." Nick said, pretending to be annoyed by that "fact".

The woman nodded. "That's okay. I already know Yvonne's name." she said.
Yvonne's head shot up. She had been right, this woman does know her name.

Nick rose his eyebrow curiously, "How do you know her name?" he asked, his soft Texas accent showing a bit.

The woman looked at Nick,
"I know a lot more than just her name, I know she was born in Tours, France, and I know she comes from a wealthy family. But, that isn't important right now . . . right now, I need to know what you two were doing out in the jungle, by yourselves."
Yvonne still remained quiet, but examined the other men in the room. She recognized one of them as the same one she and Nick had seen a few days earlier.

Nick said nothing for a moment, "How do you know about her? Why do you want to know what we were doing?"

"Avery..." Addy said in a barely audible voice, shaking. Avery looked at everyone questioningly, "What is it?"
"We had a sister, who was... killed in a car crash two years ago. Ever since, whenever Addy remembers the accident, when someone mentions her name, she becomes... distant." Martin explained gently. Yvonne awoke suddenly sometime that night, or early morning . . . the lights were off, so the room was pitch black, except for the light coming from the one of the door's thin small rectangular windows.
She thought she had heard a noise.

"Nick?" she stated, her voice a little groggy from sleep.
Without warning, Yvonne felt a hand cover her mouth. Her heart froze. She shuddered in fear, and began breathing quickly.

"It's okay!" whispered a girl's voice. "I'm here to help you!"

Alex lead Yvonne and Nick outside, which revealed several structures that Yvonne couldn't quite make out in the pale moonlight.

"This way!" Alex whispered. . . taking them a new direction, towards the jungle.
