Jese had pulled over, and waited. He soon followed behind them, coolly, but calmly.

Kathy kept driving, not too fast though since she wasn't completely comfortable yet, " Am I doing alright... ? "

"Yes, perfect. Good job. And if anything happens, Jesse is behind us..." she said, lookin in the rear-view mirror.

" Oh really? " she said, " Ahh okay, thanks. " she nodded.

Rayette smiled. "Ok, so... Sine more time than you think has passed... We can turn around, and head back to our house... Then, keep the car... You can have it... Think of it as a late, or early birthday present..." she smiled.
Jesse started speeding up, and passing them, "Nice job, newby!," he shouted out the window. Soon he turned around, a quickly screechy U-turn, and was passing them again, on his way back home.

Kathy grinned at Jesse then looked at Rayette, " Really? " she said, heading back towards their house.

"Yes, really. I don't need it... But, if you drive this to school, beware...," he tone turned dark and ominous, "People shall gawk... Just pushed through them, get in, and try not to run anyone over... And, as time passes, and you get more and more used to being a vampire, your driving will speed up, immensely." she smiled.

Jesse was home within minutes. He park the car, and waited for Kathy and his mom.

" Thanks, " she said with a big smile, " But don't worry, I think I'll still be walking to school, I'm just kinda used to it, " she said shrugging.
In a bit, they got to the house & she parked the car, then turned off the engine & got down from the car.

Jese ran over to her, and hugged her, accidently picking her off the ground, like it was nothing. "I told you it'd be fine..." he said, placing her back down, his expression becoming more serious, as he stepped away.

Kathy grinned, " I'm so happy, " she said. " I mean, I had never drived before. Except for once, but I don't think that was really driving... " she said, trailing off then looked back at him with a full smile on her face.

Jesse grinned, slightly. "Good. Then you did very well." he loosened the serious expression now, to a slight smile.

" Thanks, " she said, smiling.

He nodded again, and then said, "You should probably get home... It'd be weird of you to stay here... Trust me..." he looked at his mom through the corner of his eye, and it was noticable.

She tilted her head a bit then said, " Well, okay, " she told him & gave him a light hug, though she felt kind of awkward. " See yah! " she said heading towards the car.

He nodded, and looked away. "Sadly, I didn't mind that..." he thought to himself, blocking his thoughts so nobody could read his mind.

She got in the car & began driving to her house, carefully of course. She parked the car on the garage & went inside the house.

Jesse went inside, leaving his mom in thought, somehow. He ran up the steps, taking two or three at a time, and went into his room.

Kathy went up to her room & put on her glasses. She looked kinda nerdy with them... but she had to use them to read. She took a Science book & began reading about some Physics stuff.

Jesse went on with drawing, like usual.

Kathy took a shower & got dressed thenb went downstairs, a bit tired. She sat on the couch, her chin on her hand.

Jesse was already showered. He sat there, listening to music. He closed his eyes, trying tocalm himself. He was wondering how many emotions he went through yesterday. And he wasn't sure what emotion was provoked by Kathy, but he was sure it wasn't, and never, ever could be him literally liking her more than anything but a friend. He'd never been like that with a person, nor anyone. He stayed neutral on purpose.

Kathy sat there on the couch then got a notebook from the counter. She sat on the table, writing down things about Physics & stuff. Wow, I'm such a geek. she thought.

Jese kept drawing. He was very determined for once. He turned on a different song. It was too slow for him.
