Kathy smirked, " What do you mean? "

"Let's see how well you do." he repeated. "It's pretty self explanitory." he smiled. He reached into his pocket, and handed her the key. "Have fun."

" Ohh, " Kathy said, " Didn't you say that nobody touched it? "

"I lied," he said, "Go."

Kathy bit her lip, " It's fine, really, " she shrugged. Shoot, I can't even drive a normal car. she thought, & grinned a bit.

"Let's do this. It's just like playing a piano. It's hard at first." he said. "Come, really... It's easy." he smirked.

" You're confusing, " she said, raising her eyebrows, " But sure then. "

"I am confusing. I just want to see how you do this. Trust me, you can have the one... I have two cars. Here's your's..." he walked over to the garage, opening the door. It was red. "Sorry about the colour, and how ostentatious is it..." he said, looking at it. It was a very shiny red car. He didn't know exactly what kind, but a BMW. "My mom will teach you... She won't be awkward either... Good luck." he smiled.

Kathy's eyes widened, " What? " she said.

"You are going to learn how to drive." he said. "I do read minds... Sorry..." he said, going and getting his mom. "Go teach her." he muttered to his mom. "Please. It's one thing she should learn."
His mom nodded, and went downstairs.
Jesse came back. "By the way. If you didn't know what ostentatious was... Then... Well, my mom can cover that..."

" I know what it means... " she muttered, " But I can't learn to drive yet! " she said, " I mean, I'm - I'm fine with walking, really. What if something happens? I could crash or something. & trust me, the car wouldn't look pretty like that. " she said, a bit nervously.

"You'll be fine. You kind of have to learn how to drive... It's another strange part of being a vampire. And, once you get good enough, you will never crash. Ever." Jesse smiled.
His mom came down, and said, "Ok, ready?"

" Um, sure, " Kathy said with a nervous smile.

"You'll be fine." Rayette assured her, as she repeated Jesse's words. She smiled, and got in the driver's seat. "I'll show you how to do it, first..." she plucked the key from her hand, and turned on the car. It was a quiet purr.

" Okay then...." Kathy said with a nod.

Rayette nodded.
Jesse took off before them, faster than most normal people would drive.
She nodded. "Ok, let's show you how to do this." she said, and then went through all the steps, and showed her. Before no time, she was off, and down the road, probably also faster than she should go.

Kathy gave a nervous laugh, " Uh... aren't we going over the - the speed limit? "

"yes... But, that's how we - as vampires - drive... It's easier..." she said. Soon she slowed down, and then started going through the 'steps' so Kathy would know just what to do. "Do you think you're ready?" she asked.

" I think so... " Kathy said, nodding.

Rayette pulled over, and got out of the car within second, and was standing by the passenger door. "Your turn, then..." she smiled.

" Okay, " Kathy said, getting out of the car & going to the driver's side. She got in the car, a bit nervous.

Rayette took her seat. "Relax. This is when thoughts should slow... Especially now, for you, because this is important..." she said, looking at her.

" Hmm... why is it important? " she asked, " I mean, what's so important about driving, " she said, shrugging.

"The part where if you don't pay attention... You crash... We don't die... But, we have to fake being hurt..." she said, looking at her. "Just... Go..."

Kathy nodded, " Okay, " she said. She put on her seat belt & began driving. She tried to calm down her nerves by taking a deep breath & trying to remember everything that Jesse's mom had told her about driving.
