Cages-Becoming the Caged PART OF THE NEXT CHAPTER UP!

Maturity: It's a bunch of kids locked up in cages for breeding.
Fantasy: I don't think anyone would lock their kid in a cage for breeding.
Prologue
I remembered the days when I would fool around just like a kid. I would play tag, yelling and giggling with the other kids. I had friends, I had a life, I had spirit. That was, until my parents took me to the Facility.
They said they couldn't keep me anymore because we were moving and the stress would be bad for me. Apparently, they thought the Facility was some sort of adoption place, and that's what it looked like at first. Only until my parents were gone and I was being led down the halls of a dark place with cages crammed with kids, then did I realize something was horribly wrong.

Chapter one
It had been three miserable years since I had been brought here. I had seen kids come, kids go, kids die, and many, many babies be born. I curled up beside of my cellmate, Kayla, and ran my hand across her cheek. She was my best friend, and I felt sort of sorry for her. I met her when I first got here. Kayla was scared and alone. I think my presence made her feel better. Anyway, almost nine months ago one of the Breeders came and took Kayla and another boy away. Only about a month later Kayla found out she was pregnant.
Now she was very heavily pregnant, and I was fearing for her. The Breeders took no part in the birthing-they only looked over the baby, checked for good quality, and then returned the baby to the mother. If the baby didn't have the right quality, then it's mother would later be bred to another boy. If the baby had good quality, then the original parents would be bred together until they were moved to the Adult section of the Facility.
I heard a door open and shut, and one of the Cooks came around the cages, dumping food into the kid's bowls. Today it was soup, I could tell from the smell. When I got it, it was basically meat floating around in chicken broth. I ate my share none the less, who knows when we would get fed again. I nudged Kayla. "Breakfast time," I whispered.
She yawned and nodded, making her way over to the bowl, then eating the rest of it.
We eat our food ravenously here because we only get fed about once every three days. Our rations are so small, you could look at a kid here and count every single one of their ribs. The Facility isn't a nice place to be, even though I thought so when I came here first.
Then, the front door opened and a girl walked in, lead by a Master, her neck bound in a rope. She was put in me and Kayla's cage, and then the Master walked away. With the snarl on her face and her light blazing green eyes, I could tell this one would be trouble, and therefore, we could be in trouble as well.

I'd kinda like to know more about who the main character is, though. You're showing all their experiences, who everyone else is, and how it works, and you're doing an awesome job. But I'm not learning anything about the main character!

Chapter two
I looked at the girl. "Hey kid, what's your name?"
The girl shrugged. "I'm not really sure, the worker at the last adoption place I was at called me Autumn."
I nodded. "I'm Elizabeth, and that's Kayla." I motioned to Kayla, who was curled up in the back of the cage.
Autumn stared around. "Whaddaya do in this joint?"
"Uhh...well...we sit in a cage until Friday, and then we get let out for an hour in a fenced yard and then we go back here," I explained.
Autumn snorted. "Some adoption place. They shove kids in cages for their lives, yahoo."
"Only until we're eighteen," Kayla chimed. "Then we get shipped off to the middle of nowhere and live feral until we die."
"Uh huh," Autumn murmured. "What else?"
"Well, if you're thirteen or older they breed you," I whispered to her.
"Like, cats an dogs?" She asked in disbelief.
I nodded. "Take Kayla for instance."
Kayla curled around her growing stomach, and glared heavily at Autumn.
"So she's pregnant? Will they breed me," Autmn asked fearfully.
"How old are you?"
"Fourteen."
"Most likley, then."
Autumn shuddered, and I made out the word "Sickos." I smiled, then thought You're not the only one, kid.

No, the main character is Elizabeth. She doesn't have kids...in this book. She might in the next.

Chapter three
The next morning, Kayla was curled up in the back of the cage, all by herself. Her eyes were wide in fear, and her breath was coming quick and shaky. I knew what was going on, and I crawled over to her.
"I-It's coming," she cried in fear. "Help me!"
My legs and arms were shaky, but I nodded. I crawled to her side and sat there...
About two hours later, a tiny girl was curled up in Kayla's arms. Her hair was dark black, and her eyes were brown, but she had the stature of her mother.
"Oh Kayla, she's wonderful," I cooed.
Autumn, who had just woken up, stumbled sleepily over to us. "Whats goin on here?" she asked.
"Kayla had her baby, it's a girl," I said exitedly.
"Her name is Rose, Rose Jade," Kayla smiled. Rose clung to her mother, trying to stay as close as possible to her.
Autumn laughed. "I haven't seen a baby since my brother was born!"
Then, I heard a door open and shut. One of the breeders walked over to our cage. "So, you finally had the baby, eh," he said, opening the cage.
Kayla curled protectivly around Rose, but the guy kicked her away. He picked up the newborn and studied her, before giving her back. "Nice, she'll be good for breeding when she's older," he laughed, then slammed the cage door shut and walked away.

I hate those people in charge. >.> They're just nasty.
