Chapter Seven
I pulled my friend into a tight hug, letting her sob freely into my shoulder.
"What am I gonna do," Autumn sobbed, closing her light green eyes.
I sighed, running my hand through her hair. "I...I don't know, I'm not sure."
Pulling away from me, she scooted to the back of the cage, tucked her knees up to her chest, and started crying again.
Kayla looked at her with big, solemn hazel eyes, then turned to me. "Do you think they'll breed you next?"
I shook my head. "No! No, not ever!" But deep inside, I could almost feel that I was wrong.
I was kept awake that night by the thought, rattling inside of my brain like pennies inside of a tin can. I was staring out into the blackness of the building, eyes illuminated, almost daring So you want me? Puh, come and try me!
Despite how I tried though, I felt my eyes closing, heavy eyelids sagging. The black sheet of sleep washed over me, and I could do nothing but succumb to it's wishes.

Chapter Eight
It was a short time later, about three months, and it was a hot summer day. The facility had air conditioning, but they hadn’t turned it on at the cage section. We were hot, miserable, and cranky, and the last thing we needed was to be joined by a new kid.
I saw him being pulled in with a big rope, wound tightly around his neck. He was kicking at the Master, trying his hardest to hurt him. The Master ignored the kid and threw him into our cage.
The second I looked into his eyes, I felt something click almost. I could feel the relationship starting.
“Hey, what’s your name?” I asked him.
“Jonathan,” he replied. “You?”
“Elizabeth.”
Jonathan nodded, then looked around. “Huh, nice place right?”
I laughed. “Yeah, I guess.” I leaned against the side of the cage and looked at him, studying closely. “How’d you wind up in this place, anyway?”
He shrugged. “My parents were tired of me getting into all sorts of trouble. Stupid parents,” he growled.
I sighed. “Who needs parents anyway? Not like we need a bunch of back stabbing adults who put us here anyway.”
He nodded. “True, true. How about you why are you here?”
I gulped. “Well, I’ve been here for three years. My parents were moving and we’d already moved nine times, they thought I couldn’t handle the stress.”
Jonathan looked at me. “Nine times? What with all the moving?”
I shrugged. “Dunno. They were just people who needed to move all the time.”
He nodded. “Alright. Friends then?” he held out his hand.
I smiled, and shook it. “Friends.”
