Nick heard Yvonne gasp and turned around quickly to see a black horse standing in front of her. "Woah." He whispered, and walked as softly as he could to the horse, as to not startle it.

Yvonne didn't look the horse in the eye, to show it that she wasn't a threat. The horse's body language told her that it was curious, rather than frightened. It snorted, and shifted its wait to its other hoof.

"Nick . . . check the horse to see if he has any brands." she commanded in a low, monotonous voice.

Yvonne wanted to know if this animal was wild or not. It appeared tame, but she wasn't certain.

The horse looked curiously at both humans.
Yvonne, slowly sat down on one of the rocks at place both hands on her knees so the horse could see she wasn't carrying any "sharp objects". With her left hand, Yvonne reached into her sweater pocket. The horse laid its ears back, so Yvonne turned her pocket inside out as she pulled out a lollipop. The horse's ears sprung back forward, as he eyed the small object.

"You want it?" asked Yvonne quietly, unwrapping the lollipop. "Do you think horses like lollipops?" she asked Nick.
