[Drat >_> I need a French-speaking character.]

"Yeah, a little." Martin and Addy said simultaneously.

Yvonne slowed to stop and leaned against a tree. "Nick? Can we stop and rest?" she asked him.

[ A magical lollipop. affraid LOL, no . . . somethin' else . . . although she may eventually need a lollipop . . . you'll find out what it is soon. ]

Yvonne took a few steps towards a large rock, and slid down to the foot of the stone, hugging her knees close to her chest. The rock was cold and wet, but Yvonne was so tired, she didn't notice, and slowly began nodding off.

Nick laid down by a tree, cupping his hands and placing them behind his head. He didn't know how long he was there (he had dozed off), but by the time he woke up, it was dark, with only a few stars in the sky. It took him about 30 seconds before he realized what had awoken him: A soft, quiet weeping of a child from further inside the forest.

"Maudit cauchemars . . ."
she mumbled in French. She turned over on her belly and looked around for Nick.
She panicked when she couldn't see him nearby.
Getting up quickly, Yvonne rushed over to where she had last seen him. Though she was frightened, she was relieved to see a path of footprints in the dirt, which trailed off into the jungle.

Nick made his way to the child, stepping softly over the scattered branches. When he was near enough to see the child's face, the child (who turned out to be a girl) jumped and yelped, "Who are you?" she asked fearfully, visibly shaking. Nick crouched down to her eye-level and smiled, "My name is Nick. I won't hurt you, I promise." The girl calmed down a bit, "My name is Bailey." she informed him, in an obvious Australian accent.

"Yeah? Well, my friend and I are heading back to camp in the morning, how about you come with us?" Nick suggested. "That'd be good." Bailey said shyly. Nick extended his hand to her and stood up, "Come with me then." he said with a smile. She accepted his hand just as it started to rain.

Shoving aside branches and plants, Yvonne trekked through the muddy jungle. She mumbled something to herself when she realized she had lost the trail . . . she put her hands in her sweater pockets and doubled-back.

"Well, whatever. Nothing about this island can be too bad." I said simply.

"Why are you out here so late at night?" Nick asked softly. Bailey frowned, "Because I'm lost."

When Nick and Bailey finally reached where they were camping, he glanced around, looking for Yvonne. "Yvonne?" he called when he didn't see her.

Yvonne smiled slightly when she saw the familiar large rock she had slept on earlier, over in the distance.
However, her smile faded when she began feeling . . . strange, and her arms shook.
She fell to her knees with a thump and shook her head slowly, trying to deny what was happening right now. Tears fell down her face and she murmured to herself repeatedly, "Something's wrong . . . something's really wrong . . ."
While she was still somewhat conscious, she fished in her pockets for a candy, a pack of sugar . . . anything that could help her. But all that fell out was her syringe and bottle of insulin, which she knew that in the state she was in right now, she wouldn't be able to use properly.

[ OH NO!!! Get the magical lollipop, Yvonne!!! ]

Nick thought he saw Yvonne, but wasn't completely sure. He decided to see if it was her, just in case, so he told Bailey to stay put and ran off. "Yvonne?!" he called.

(C'mon, Yvonne! Do as she says! D: )
(By the way, could you go to the WI DCT? We're trying to break a record...)

Yvonne choked on her tears, and babbled quietly,"Aidez-moi . . ."
Her brain was in such a blur, she couldn't even think in English.
