After a few minutes of galloping along the beach, Shantaram decelerated into a leisurely trot. He jogged into the jungle for a while, and when he came back out, he stopped to rest. He sniffed around for grass, but there was none . . . for he was standing upon the plateau of a magnificent cliff.
