I skipped into Crestwood Academy on the first day of school. I was super excited; I hadn't seen Benjamin in AGES, and I had only seen Jenny a few times over the summer. Erin and I had seen each other at Youth, but half the time she wasn't there. I skipped into Mrs. R's room and walked to my locker.

[This is when I didn't know you much.]

[I'm not, not bright Amanda, and I thought we were starting from science fair?]

[Duh. NVM.]

"Hey... Miranda?" I asked, twirling a strand of hair around my finger. "Do you want to be Science Fair partners? Benjamin and Rebecca said no, and I don't work well alone...."

[Ha ha...gosh i'm like dying of laughter...I love that smiley.]

"Rawr....ask Aish....Oh I heard the latest news! There's gonna be some new students....weird.." She laughed, "Who'd wanna live out here..." She paled, "Oh we would."

[It's a WI smile. ]

"Muh. Okay, she's in Computer Lit with me..." I sighed as Mrs. B called girls for lunch. "Let's go..." I lined up, glancing over at Benjamin. He was talking earnestly to Rebecca, and I felt a pang of jealousy, but stiffled it. Hopefully.

I looked over at Amanda, "He's not worth it. You know?" I made a Pfft noise, "Guys are always overated."

"Fine," I smirked whilst walking down the hall. Ms. B was yelling at a student, and I instantly went silent.

[Since when does Mrs. B yell at people? XD]

And then Amanda got WB and didn't know what to do, so she turned to Miranda and waited.

I looked at Amanda, "You know? Life is pretty complicated, you can never be just the friend, you have to be the enemy too." I nodded smiling, "Benji-Boy will come around eventually." I then whispered, "I think."

"Hopefully." I smiled lightly as we sat at the table with Morgan and Erin. I glanced at Benjamin again, and rolled my shoulders uncomfortably as he turned towards me.

I smiled and pull an extra copy out of my pocket, "Here." Handing it to her, I turn to Benjamin. [be him for a moment.]
