|| Death Told Us Not To || Chapter 1 ||
Maturity: Medium/High- Kissing, fighting, possible blood.
Fantasy: Medium- Elves with possible powers (?)
England took quite a long time to become the county that it is,
But our times were some of it's very worst.
Many years of strife and blood lust came about.
Witches are burned at the stake and men are killed for dinner entertainment
The barbarity of it all makes you wonder;
Was it always like this?

Corinne Wescott
Corinne is extremely feminist for her times. Her father is a blacksmith and because of this she has come to possess two swords, a dirk, and many other things weaponry related. She self-taught herself how to fight. Her mother is a housewife who makes the food and gives her husband children. Corinne has seven siblings that live in the house with her parents and three elder siblings -all men- that have wives and children of their own... and her mother is pregnant yet again. Let's just say it's a very crowded household. Because of this, Corinne has promised herself to become something amazing. Although only her best friend and sister, Ellen, knows of her dream. Corinne was to be wed to her cousin, a man named Edward, before he was slaughtered. It was a very unfortunate ending and her family mourned his death, although Corinne barely knew him. She has bright, sparkling blonde hair that gently waves down her back and leprechaun green eyes. Her heart-shaped face has a light spatter of freckles across the bridge of her nose and she is tall for her time. Corinne is almost seventeen and she knows this because her mother constantly reminds her that she should be married by now and having kids of her own. This really peeves Corinne because she wants to explore the world and become part of the army. Something that has never happened before for a woman.
Pryce Elbright
Pryce lives with his mother in their small cottage. His father died but two years ago from a winter epidemic, leaving he and his mother to take care of his two younger siblings. Pryce is about the age of 18 now but refuses to get married, claiming that his mother still needs help with Bridget and Briann. In all truth though, Pryce would like to get married to someone he loves... something that doesn't happen often in his times. He works as a farmer so that his family might have enough money to live on. He has been more religious than usual since his father died. What is the worst for him, though, is that none of his family was allowed to see his father after death. He knows something sneaky happened, but dares not voice his concerns at the death of his father for fear that he will be put to death for only the suggestion. Pryce has chocolate brown hair, cute short to keep his hair out of his eyes while working in the fields. He is muscled but in a toned, slender way with a narrow waist. You can see his ribs from hunger. He has gray-blue eyes and large, sturdy feet.

Re: || Death Told Us Not To || Chapter 1 ||
Corinne looked cautiously around the room, making sure that none of her siblings or her parents were there. She'd hid a sword underneath her mattress and was about to go out and practice with it. She sighed with relief that no one seemed to be there for once and grabbed the hilt of the sword, pulling it out from underneath the bed. She immediately hid it in the folds of her skirt... if she was caught with it, who knew what would happen to her. She tip-toed her way over to her father's blacksmith. He wouldn't be there today, it was his one day off... Sunday. As she pulled it away from her dress, she watched as the sword glimmer in the sunlight and her eyes grew larger, mesmerized by its beauty.
Pryce was on his way back from church as today was Sunday. He would have been back earlier, but he had stayed afterward to see if he could do anything to help. Hm... my mother deserves something nice, maybe I'll stop somewhere to get her something, he thought leisurely. The sky looked cloudy like it might rain, but he just lengthened his stride, hoping to get home before the storm blew in.

SCARS ARE PRIDE
Sadron grinned darkly and leaped into the air. Once he landed, he stabbed his sword into the ground, standing on his feet. Waves of fire were sent in the guards' direction.
All of the guards died.
"When I tell ya I'm bloody sorry, do ya beleive me?" he inquired, still grinning with dark pleasure. He slowly pulled his blade out of the ground, twirled it once, and glared at the townsfolk. "Anybody else want a bloody peice of me!?" he exclaimed, his voice daring, yet, ice-cold.

Re: || Death Told Us Not To || Chapter 1 ||
Corinne kept swinging her sword, she had now almost mastered most of the sword fighting moves she knew. She wiped a drop of sweat from her forehead and continued to push the sword into the straw dummy that she had made for practicing. Now all I need is a true person to practice with, she sighed inwardly. She didn't seem to notice the man in the cloak like others did. In fact, she didn't seem to be paying attention to anything except making sure that she was perfect as she could be with her sword.

SCARS ARE PRIDE
Sadron payed no attention whatsoever to anyone, anymore. He just didn't care. At all. And once he set his mind to something, even if it was far-off.. he was to fulfill this instinct, no matter the circumstances. He slowly unsheathed his sword, and swung it around for a while's worth of a fool's time. His gaze flickered off for a moment, but regained its focus on the blade. He immediatly sheathed it as he felt the presence of those giving him deahtly glares of hatred. "Just bug off, you mutts. I've got no time to waste on ya." he muttered in an ice-cold tone.
The townfolk hissed, and the guards unsheathed their own swords. "There ain't room for ya, here. It's time you be leavin'." one guard hissed, approaching Sadron with a frosted glare.
Sadron smirked. "I'll do as ya say." he stated simply, and unsheathed his sword quickly. He lashed it at the guard, then watched him fall and swirl into eternal darkness. "After your death." he grinned darkly. He spun around to face the other guards. "Any of ya dare to come at me?"

Re: || Death Told Us Not To || Chapter 1 ||
Corinne didn't even register the commotion that was forming in the middle of the small town. She looked over there, seeing people gathering, but shrugged it off and turned her head back to her training. It didn't even dawn on her that anyone might see her. She was too enthralled in her work to pay mind to anything else that could or was happening.

(Oh CRAP )
Corinne wiped sweat from her forehead and decided to go see what the commotion was about out there. She'd sworn she'd felt fire in the area. She had heard the man's words and got her cloak on. She shuffled out to the middle of the town and stepped towards him. Her cloak was covering her face, and she didn't say anything. She hoped that no one would realize that she was a woman. Her sword was held up towards him and her eyes were narrowed beneath the shadows, daring him to try her.

Sadron was still grinning darkly, his hood still shadowing his pale face. "Yer gonna go against me, too, little Miss?" he teased, easily remarking her slender figure, which brought to his attention that she was no man, whatsoever. "Little Miss, this ain't a place for you. This is livin' *heck*, m'Dear. You'd best be runnin' off to yer mother and father." his wicked grin widened. He rose his sword and held it in a defense way. "But if ya still want to go through this bloody fight... you get first strike."

Re: || Death Told Us Not To || Chapter 1 ||
She was infuriated that he had in fact realized that she was a girl, and the fact that he thought her too weak. Before she could stop herself, lighting flew out of her sword, "Is tha' a good enough 'first strike' for you?" she demanded, her voice oozing with anger and wanting revenge for him exposing her as a woman.

SCARS ARE PRIDE
Sadron let out a dark and insulting laughter. "Nothin' close to good, m'Dear. Yer going to have to try harder. Quite harder." he stated immediatly, the fire from his blade acting as somewhat of a glowing aura that radiated from the sword. His wicked, sickened and twisted grin remained on his pale, yet shadowed and not quite visible at the moment, face. His eyes gleamed with a twisted and dark pleasure, as he twirled his blade once more. "Come ere' and fight like a warrior!" he exclaimed at the top of his lungs, despise hinting through his cold-blooded words.

Re: || Death Told Us Not To || Chapter 1 ||
Corinne grinned back just as wickedly. She was beautiful, despite all her spite and menace. "Show yourself, then we may begin our battle," she cried, throwing back her hood to reveal her angelic face, "I want to see the face of the man that I am about to kill." Her eyes glimmered ominously. She refused to back down.

Deep down, Sadron knew that it would be almost impossible for him to kill her, due to her beauty. He smirked. "Quite beautiful," he admitted, and slowly pushed back his hood, revealing his pale face. Beneath his cloak, Sadron was a handsome young man, quite muscular, too. But then again, his skin was very pale.

Re: || Death Told Us Not To || Chapter 1 ||
"Quite sickening," Corinne smirked back. This was a complete lie. He was quite dapper, and if beautiful could be used to describe a man, he was that, too. But he'd just murdered the guards, which meant that she would have to put his looks aside and present him with justice. It didn't matter if he killed her, because even if her life was spared her father would surely not be as forgiving of this incident. She didn't forget that it was his sword that she held in her hand.

Re: || Death Told Us Not To || Chapter 1 ||
Corinne rolled her eyes, "I just think you're coward," and with that she started walking away from him. She made sure to put up her protective barriers just in case he decided to change his mind and plunge the knife through her heart. She knew she couldn't go back home tonight, though. Her father would be furious and her mother, who was always cranky as she was always pregnant, well... she just didn't want to put the time into them tonight.
